Also is financial loss bigger than his career?? I think VDW could accommodate that loss but BJ flopping I don't think Harsh can afford that.. He couldn't do much despite of 2 releases If BJ was a solo release people might have gone bcoz of his family's reputation and Vikram Motwane too
Harsh is only 2 movie old now, so how can he decide about the release of his movie when he isn't even the producer. Moreover, both movies are of two different genre, so they might have not been destinated to the same audience. So why would any of them think the clash would be this detrimental to the movie.
VDW team didn't expect these figures in term of opening. It was unexpected for every party involved.
You have to take into account the number of screens on which each movies have been released, the amount of promos put into it etc. to judge if yes or not huge number were expected to come in for Bavesh Joshi.
For example, Neerja was done with a 25cr budget and released on 700 screens upon release but it's after seeing the response of the movie that more screens were added. The team wasn't expecting to get 75cr+ in term of BO numbers. Maybe that's the same logic that was put behind BJ.
Sonam, Anil and Sunita did post stuff to promote BJ so I don't see why you think they didn't promote it.
We can't know what's up between the siblings but one shouldn't read too much into things. Arjun and Sonam were born the same year within a month (June 9th for Sonam and June 26th for Arjun) so it's no wonder they'd share a special bond.
Harsh doesn't seem to hang out in the same than his sisters so that might explain why he's not always with them.
Look up Vikram Aditya Motwane's BO record and you'll see that barring Lootera -which was headlining to up and coming actors who had had succesful movies beforehand- none of his movies collected at least 4cr. So no I don't think they were expecting BJ to rake in some moolah. Don't forget that BJ was in fact a movie that had been scratched numerous time. It's been in the work since 2014 and such movies most often than not end up not working so well.
