Exactly. Where is the shock factor in bold? It looks like news report, not fiction show. I think makers of the show had already shown a white terrorist, so they invented another new one. What is the big deal?

General public will not care, whether violence is ideologically inspired or not. One can do that on arm chair. On street, one does get influenced by colour. Can't help it. I don't exactly call it racist. (They are not thinking another race is inferior. It is just an involuntary act of self defence). Generalisation is bad. But human mind does it.

Whataboutery" is the preferred mode of argument of the Hindu Right. According to this logic, cracking down on Hindu terrorists for lynching Muslims or murdering Dalits is hypocritical unless one also speaks out against atrocities being perpetrated against the Hindu minority in Bangladesh and Pakistan, and the displacement of Pandits from Kashmir.

The pea-brained foot soldiers of the saffron brigade are unaware or ignore the fact that all the "secular" journalists, and major news organisations, both Indian and international, have vehemently spoken out on those issues and continue to do so.

Police have not disclosed culprits identity yet. (Murdered boy's father had given them). I think, it is correct procedure (as nothing has been proven yet).
But if the boy had happened to be a Muslim, first thing that would have flashed on media is the religious identity of culprits and how India has gone intolerant.

Why hyppo got banned, when he never created as many igniting posts as the thread maker.

Those randomly using words like 'Hindu terrorists' while describing certain instances of violence fail to understand the difference between terrorism and murder.
Terrorism is when a group or a person associated with a group with political/ideological motivations indulges in acts of violence. Those who carried out the attacks in Paris, Nice, London, etc were terrorists because they explicitly did it in the name of ISIS - a group that wishes to setup an Islamic Caliphate. Those who bombed the 1984 Kanishka flight were also terrorists belonging to the Khalistani movement - a movement aimed at carving out a separate state of Sikhs. Prabhakaran's LTTE also fell in the same category. Also, except communists we'd all agree even Naxalites/Maoists are terrorists.

Lone incidents of violence like the lynchings and killings are not acts of terrorism. They are gruesome murders. The man who sprayed bullets from a hotel window at those who were attending a concert in Las Vegas was not declared a terrorist not because he was a White male, or didn't belong to the Muslim community. It was because there wasn't any proof to link him to any political or ideological organisation or school of thought. Yes, his actions did 'terrorize' people, however, what he did was an act of mass murder.
