Kareena Kapoor Khan gives it back to haters who trolled her for Feminism

Kareena Kapoor Khan is currently enjoying the success of her latest release Veere Di Wedding. Back when Kareena was constantly busy promoting the film, it was at film's music launch when the actress spoke about feminism and her take on it. It was soon after that when Twitterati started trolling the actress. It went to an extent when haters started releasing memes of her on several social media handles. Back then Kareena's statement read as "I am not a feminist; I believe in equality.

Finally breaking her silence on all the hate message and trolls, Kareena spoke to a daily and mentioned that she doesn't feel she said anything wrong. She said, "What was wrong in the feminism statement? I'd still say that I believe in equality and there's nothing wrong in it. Most people think that feminism means male bashing and it makes women superior. That's what they've always meant, otherwise why would they be fighting on Twitter every time. However, I would also like to add, that in a way, I am a bit of a feminist but I am a feminist in the right way. I'm not trying to say that men are lesser, because they are not. I believe it takes two to tango in any kind of a relationship. But then, main kuch bhi statement bolun, trolls toh shuru ho jate hain (whatever I say, trolling will start), especially when it comes to feminism.

When asked if she felt her words were misconstrued and put out in a wrong manner, Kareena said, "Its fine. It doesn't matter. The fact is, I do believe in equality. I do believe it takes a man and a woman to set an example. If you don't have support from a man and vice versa, it would be difficult to have a family. I don't want to get associated with any isms'..I mean, why does something have to have a name or a tag?

Why do I get the feeling that Kareena wants to stay away from controversy at all costs? She was even joking swara was too controversial for her in one of the VDW promotion interviews. Welp, at-least she knows feminism is equality for both genders. I guess she just doesn't want to fully associate with it and thus invite all the bashing and trolling on a future date so she is staying away from it and giving these roundabout statements.

He's one of the reasons why I still watch Castle. And why I'm looking forward to his new show. He's amazing.
