his year John featured in movies where he could actually show his acting prowess and stand his own against stalwarts like Amitabh, Hema Malini, Rani Mukherjeeand Salman Khan. Take the movie 'Baabul'for instance. He played the role of a taciturn musician expressing his love his girl through his songs exceptionally well.
In yet another meaningful role with an excellent performance in 'Kabul Express' released last week, he plays the role of a television journalist covering the war against the Taliban in the aftermath of the 9/11 attack.
And then we hear of the release of the 'John Abraham' brand of designer clothes from the international clothes brand 'Wrangler'. In John's own words, "They'd reflect my personality and the kind of clothes that I feel comfortable wearing. I'd see no need to wear other brands because my collection would have everything that I sartorially aspire to."
Johnny boy claims that the 'John AbrahamCollection' will take keep him pretty comfortable financially and pay for his marriage and his honeymoon and take care of a lot of other things in the next five years of his life.
