Amitabh married Jaya when she was bigger star than him.

Ajay married Kajol when she was bigger star than him.

Aishwariya is much bigger star than Abhishek.

Both current and ex wife of Saif are bigger star than him, Amrita was a top actress in the 80's and Kareena had been ruling BW for 18 years where Saif never established himself as a lead hero in BW.

Even I think Genelia is bigger star than Ritesh because Genelia was a big star in the south and gave a hit movie Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na unlike Ritesh that mostly always did supporting roles on mostly comedy movies.

The only actor that I know is Akshay that married less sucessful actress than him but Twinkle is first superstar Rajesh Khanna's daughter and that's why Akshay probably married her.

Abhishek - wasn't he supposed to marry Karishma at one point? She was also very successful at the time, if I remember correctly. But then he married Aish, and the rest is history. John and Bipasha nearly got married- not sure which was bigger star.

Yeah but they broke up after they got engaged, I heard that Karishma's mother was responsible for breaking their engagement because the Bachchan's were bankrupt at that time. John is/was bigger star than Bips.

Poonam and Zarine are not actresses, Dimple was a big star in the 80's, so I don't know if she is less famous than Rajesh Khanna, Kishore Kumar was a singer, so I wouldn't count him on this list.

yes, that too, and she didnt want a husband for Karishma who wud always live in his Father's shadow, the way her own husband Randhir Kapoor lived.
