If Deepika does Serena again she's pretty much willingly tarnishing her career

Oh no serena please, it took away much of her time and bought no lasting recognition

I don't mind XXX if the role has been made more pivotal. Why waste time waiting for roles in Bollywood where you are expected to slash your fees, when you are getting a meatier role in Hollywood and with a team you enjoyed working with in the past. XXX must have taken 4-5 months of her time with shoots amd promotions. The same time it takes to do a Hindi film.

Don't think the payment is THE issue here. She will do vishals which will be more a niche movie and I guess she is looking for a big budget/commercial movie. Maybe she is waiting what SRK will do next cause he is the only option for her in that space or HR. And if Triple X will also be made then next year is already full.
BTW she would actually shoot for Vishal if Irrfan wasn't ill and directors doesn't wait to make a movie in the last minute. Everyone plans it early and if there are those who offered maybe she wasn't happy? It's not always one sided

And to say she should rather do XxX bc they pay her the money and she gets a bigger role??? Are you serious? She might doing it bc she had fun!! XxX doesn't add anything to her career the only thing international media refers her as the actress from the XxX movie. This movie gets only made bc it made a lot of money in China and in all other country's it was a flop.

I am sorry I am not buying this theory and apology of her fans 'that she has lost interest'. No sane person will deliberately try to look ugly and namona just how she did at Cannes. It was way over the top and screaming 'desperation'. She was trying really hard, pushing her limits and it didn't look natural. You are not expected to try this hard if you have lost interest She is not getting good roles or the price. Alia has dethroned her and how!!

When you say Alia has dethroned her, it implies Deepika was on the throne so far. That itself is an achievement, as she has acted only in one movie in last two years.
