If Lamhe released today would it have done well in India?

I know it did poor in India but well overseas, due mainly to: *spoiler*: The older character that Anil plays getting together with the 18 year old girl who was the daughter of the dead woman who he was in love with. (Some people thought it was incest but I don't think they knew what that word means as this wasn't incest.) As years have passed, would Indian audience today be okay with watching such a film if Lamhe was made today instead? Or would they still watch something else and reject it. P.S. I love the film I want to know what I guys think

Incest or not, whole concept was disgusting. Its the daughter of a woman he loved all his life. It's not the age difference but the concept that's disgusting to me. I still don't get the hype about the movie. It would never work even now.

I hear the movie is termed as mature and all, well I am never gonna reach that maturity level indeed. 😆 The movie was rocking in terms of Sri and her performance, Anil was good too. But I absolutely loathed the ending.

In a recent interview of Sri, she admitted that even today the ending might have faced rejection.

I dont mind the age gap. But the fact that the girl was actually the daughter of the lady , the man loved makes it hard to digest.

Although even I dont think it is incest by definition but still it does not feel right 😕

How would it release ???? Anil Kapoor has not been marketable in 30 years 😆 An the heroine herself is not with us anymore. Unless you mean Lamhe plot with different actors. Which doesn't make it Lamhe at all 😛
