Since Raazi released came across many articles just pampering Alia Bhatt and How this female led actress raises the bar.
All fine and good
But my pertinent question is why the people behind camera are ignored by a section of the media and the fandom in sites like this bollywood forum.

Didnt see any headlnes like
"Meghna Gulzar film opens at 7 crore"
"Meghna Gulzar delivers another hit after Talwar"
"Megha Gulzar film is the best espionage film in recent times"

But everywhere you can find the same headlines Just replace Meghna Gulzar with Alia Bhatt.

Dont you think the worshipping of lead actors-actrress is going too much.

Of course they are the face of the film, they deserve all applause for bringing in audience
But the film is good and liked because of the script.too.
The director, the writer has worked hard ,the DOp, evryone.
We cant credit all. But atleast the director should be credit too in front space.

People are so star struck that they dont realise the actors are just hired to play a part. The real hardwork happens when brainstormin is done and when they go for shoot and to get the scenes done correct from the actors. Pre production, shooting, post production in all these three stages the director is working relentlessly.

Audience has to evolve too, when we watch a film lets try to see the hardwork of a director and other technicians too and whenever we post FB status, tweets we should mention the director.
we audience have to bring change from our side too.

Deserving directors should get the credit
even i feel bad when people were praising Tiger shroff only
People forgot ahmed khan had worked on the look and the stunts of the films along woth his crew to get it all right from the trailer itself/
Eventually it was Ahmed khan who made Baaghi 2 a bigger film .

Actually not just the director, even the writer has a huge hand in making a film success. I am not only talking about Raazi but all other films which were a success and appreciated by critics. A film without a good director, writer, technicians etc is nothing. You can't just make a film with actors.
I agree the crew is very underrated in general. Raazi is Alia's success for sure but it belongs equally to the director and rest of the crew who worked immensely hard for it to be such a huge success.

yes the writer is equally responsible for the success
iam just wishing for some baby steps like

the film journalists should frame articles, the trade analysts, critics should tweet the figures with the directors name other than the film name
like #Meghan Gulzar opening weekend 25 crore
Not aliabhatt opening weekend

some small baby steps
even the bollywood discussion in twitter, Fb and other social media sites including india forums have to grow up from fan wars to be a honest, mature, critical yet objective viewer of films
Films are not just about watching a glamorous star. We also go there to see different takes on life.

yes he deserved the credit too.
Be it any film, the writer, director and crew deserve little respect from the journalists in articles atleast

People want hits in their articles, unless they are big names, people don't use their names in headlines.
Hardly anyone apart from hardcore BW encyclopedia type fans know about Meghna.
But you see articles with headlines like SLB, Raju Hirani, Rohit, Kjo, Adi and so on.

Although I agree with your opinion that directors should get equal credit.

Plus people notice what they see, and Actors are the most visible aspects of movies, hence it is inevitable they will most coverage and credit.
Just like they also get the bashed the most. There were very few article bashing Kabir for Tubelight, while everyone enjoyed trolling Sally.
So it is a two sided.

Its a bad trend
My cousin did direction course from FTII pune
but he says its no use becoming director , people just want to run behind actors
if u take a script to a good place, people are taking advantage.
even if the film is made the actors take away allyour credit and say that your movie is made due to me , me only

better to be hero or in front of camera some roles

so some people feel dejected with such scenario
