Aishwarya stopped traffic at Cannes. Priyanka was trending worldwide at the Oscars. Even Sonam got a spontaneous sketch by an illustrator for just sitting front row at fashion week.

Tell us how the Sonam Kapoor illustration came about.

I was sitting at Elie Saab, in the second row, and she was just on the other side of the aisle, in the first row, sitting at an angle to me, so I could see her lovely profile. I had no idea who she was, if she was a princess or what, but I just had to do a drawing of her. She was just such a beautiful woman.

Kat made two really big mistakes. First she showed up looking awful with a recently injected bloated face and crazy looking red hair. If you want to sell make-up, you have to look beautiful. She would have gotten a second chance but this time she didn't even bother and just skipped the event. That must have ticked off the Loreal India people and they didn't renew her contact.

I've seen some ambassadors skip Cannes when they are busy but I think they you can get away with that stuff once you've established yourself, not before.

I genuinely don't think Katrina cared about Loreal at all. If it meant that much to her, she would have at least colored her hair black for the appearances and then go back to red to finish off Fitoor. She doesn't seem the type that enjoys all this.

It's so strange to me that Deepika is going to Cannes and doing all this because I get the same vibe from her. She doesn't enjoy it at all and that's why she ends up looking horrible always. But unlike Kat, she is really ambitious and crazy for fame so she will do things that she doesn't enjoy if she has to.
