Considering she only went to Cannes once for L'oreal

even if her appearance did not strike a chord..replacing her this soon was a shocker..like they took no time in replacing her.. not even giving another chance to Cannes

was it really a bad response to her Cannes outing? since aish and sonam have successfully done it for years now..even deepika is making her 2nd appearance in Cannes for Loreal this year

or was it her launch of her own makeup product etc which she stated to be the reason..as to why she had to back out of Loreal..

She did have a chance to go to a second Cannes outing. She skipped it for Jagga Jasoos reshoots. It's pretty obvious that making style statements on the red carpet is not her thing.

Loreal missed out by not signing Kangana or even Athiya instead.

Katrine skipped her second year appearance because of the Morocco schedule of Jagga Jasoos ...

She rubbed them the wrong way and there was no way back for her !

One of the most important thing for l'oreal ambassadors is to actually ATTEND and promote the brand in Cannes.

Usually, it's during that time that l'oreal films most of commercials ...

L'oreal needs only 3 ambassadors from this region...That's what it looks like.When Deepika came in Katrina was out.

Now that Mahira has been signed..This may be Sonam's last season.The other 3 are international ambassadors.

Katty and Sonam were indian ambassadors.

Sonam hasnt shot a commercial in years..or launched a new product.Others do much more work for the brand

She gets to walk at Cannes once a year..

Katrina was going to launch her own cosmetic brand,which supposedly clashed with L'oreal ..Didnt hear about it after that.

I think Katrina is beautiful and have amazing body but her appearance in Cannes was scary, she did too much Botox and she looked frozen. And when Aish is walking, she's the scene stealer. It's not India where only light skin is appreciated, they prefer people who have exotic look like Aish or dusky look like dp and fashion style like sonam

This i agree with. You have to have a spark and something that stands out. Katrina is not made for the red-carpet. She looks better on-screen or when shes dancing. But on the carpet. Even people like Shraddha, Alia, Parineeti - they are not red-carpet material they're bland!. Im not sure about Kangana - it all depends on her styling to be honest.

However Ash, Deepika - yes. Priyanka yes!...Sonam may not have the looks but she makes up for it with her fashion and style .

The red-carpet is all personality and how much attention you can hold. Its not an easy job and not everyone can do it. Especially Katrina because lets be honest she can be bland!

Actually, l'Oreal has dropped the international ambassadors thing ...

They are all ambassadors and they appear on certain region.

When Aishwarya and Freida were signed, we would see their commercials on TV here in France : that's what global ambassador really meant. I never saw Deepika commercials on French TV ... And it's been years since I saw any Aish commercials as well ...

Even if you go on the global l'oreal website, you won't find any global/ national ambassadors list like it was the case couple of years ago.

And concerning Sonam : Nah, in your sweet dreams ... She is here to last.

She is one celebrity who will never struggle to get dressed by the best designers : she is good friends with the likes of R&R and Elie Saab, gorgeous and always managed to catch attention on the RC ... Just like Aish, she made her way and cemented her position.

Mahira represents Pakistan : her commercials are aired only in Pakistan ... I think l'oreal will hire more pakistani ambassadors in the future : it's a big market !

Probably because her first appearance was horrendous. She wore a bright red dress with bright red hair with bright red lipstick on a bright red carpet. Pendu 😆
