Bombay Velvet had terrible reviews ...so its not surprising it crashed 😆

while the highly reviewed film crashing is a surprise ...😲

Oh wait... Didn't Bombay Velvet open similar to October. Former had no strong promotions. No big Production house support. No music. No A grade actress. No fight scene. LOL. and nearly double the amount of screens of October. Even funnier part was that film was hyped by all sources 😆 same who are hyping Dutt. As for what a real example of film crashing is this

Bombay Velvet grossed a disastrous 5.25-5.50 crore nett on day one. It can't really be put into words how bad the collections are. It's hard to describe how good a 25 crore day one is for Kick pre Eid and here its hard to describe how bad 5.25-5.50 crore nett is with 2500 plus screens and a huge cost.
The story was same all over barring Mysore which at least had some sort of collections. The film suffer huge losses, in terms of the amount lost it will be the highest ever. In terms of percentage of the investment loss it will be 75%.

The film had lower collections than last week's Piku in some circuits. Even a big curcuit like Mumbai had similar collections of around 1.80 crore nett.

Bombay Velvet crashed further on Monday with business of 2 crore nett apprx and a 60% plus fall from Tuesday.. The first four day business of Bombay Velvet is as follows.
Friday - 5,25,00,000
Saturday - 5,35,00,000
Sunday - 5,70,00,000
Monday - 2,00,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 18,30,00,000

The film will gross around 22.50 crore nett in week one and lifetime business is unlikely to even hit 25 crore nett.

Don't remind them of these old wounds which have still not healed. Hence, they drag down every other successful actor out of jealousy.

Dutt and Zero need to be hits or else some will lose it completely.

Baaghi 2 also did have horrible reviews. Worst so far this year. Judwaa 2 also. Let's not forget PRDP. Yet these films did extra ordinary business. Now don't bring single screens as single screens alone don't bring you these big numbers in today's era

And BV just got average reviews if we combine all them who rated it decent to average later it listing the film in their worst categories at the end of the year

SRK fan saying Varun's stardom exposed when her own favourite is struggling for a hit and basically had none since years and whereas Ranbir who they are also defending also has 5 major FLOPS to his name in last 4 years. 😆

Masala action movies always run, their audience doesnt care for reviews or critics.

But acclaimed filmmakers' movies or art house movies run on reviews and WOM, if movie is entertaining like Piku was, like Queen was, then movie is a hit, otherwise they struggle at the BO

So when making fun of other actors arthouse movies BO collections, one shd remember that the same can happen to one's favorite's arthouse movie too, no matter how acclaimed the movie or the actor's performance is, if entertainment factor is missing then even the multiplex audience will reject it...That is my point.

Wasn't Jabra fan on like everywhere prior release. I am sure the teaser was out 8 months before it's release and they show cased it with every goddamn film. Phir bhi nikla FLOP!!! 😆

Fan was anything but niche 😆 being music-less does make it a weak factor if it's a romantic or drama, where as a thriller and action don't really require music but Jabra was a promoted song which was a hit song. Infinity War, Civil War, Furious 8 etc... all has opened tremendously well in India and none of them have music. 😆

And here comes excuses... So Fan with some critical acclaimed made 80cr but was it a multiplex film ??? 😆😆 It had 3500 screens. Why was it rejected? A five year old in industry gives 40cr lifetime film with less than half screens is supposed to be called underperfomance and 25 year old in industry gives 80cr film with a big banner is called epitome of success...

Fan was a highly rated, critically acclaimed movie, Raja Sen loved it just like he loved October 😆

Jabra song was not included in the movie which made it worse because fans who loved the song felt cheated

inspite of all this Fan still made 84 crores which would be considered a success by Varun or Akki standards 😆

Fan also had competition from the biggest HW hit Jungle Book, acclaimed films which flop miserably without competition, in an open playing field. are to be pitied even more ...means they were totally rejected.

Anyway what to worry for Varun. He got Sui Dhaaga, Kalank, ABCD 3 and Rannbhoomi. All can only lead him to go higher with each film.

What could be said about Ranbir & SRK ?? They are going down with each film. Even failing in their forte. 😆 Ranbir would need more than Dutt to remain because one hit after one flop can put you back in the game. But not after 5 flops. You'd need more than one success. And here the film needs 180cr plus to cross safe line. With Race 3, Jurassic World coming earlier that month would leave many with less interested in throwing money for this. At best Ranbir may get his 100cr film but usse kya hoga? He needs more than double to make it a success.

For Zero ... . less say the better. Even Rohit Shetty is trolling with releasing his action film a week later with Ranveer banking on new years holidays 😆

AND MAYBE FAN WOULD'VE BEEN A SUCCES IF THEY HADN'T SPENT A YEAR ON VFX (cost & time) TRYING TO MAKE HIM LOOK 16😆 Budget would have been lower. So yeah Fan with anyone else would have been a success.
