I agree. She did lend her character a kind of grace and a very ladylike quality that too when she was just 22. I don' know if anyone noticed it or not, but her voice in that movie is much more mellow and bearable than her usual shrill one.😆

All in all I think she performed better than Ranbir in the film who was hamming away like any other SLB hero (and deepika as well in OSO who looked gorgeous but was kind of plasticy and had her voice dubbed).

Now it's a different matter that the other two evolved into much better actors over time.

Saawariya wasn't a bad acted movie tbf, Ranbir was excellent actually, it was a badly directed and scripted movie.

Although even if terribly acted, I prefer OSO, which despite being junk, was at least entertaining, Saawariya was boring, and badly boring. Like Black was also boring, but it was. a good movie, keeping hooked, despite slow pace, Saawariya was terribly boring and bad movie.

Talking about Sonam, she is like Aish, director's actresses, who do well when guided well, otherwise terrible. Although Saawariya wa nothing special, he looked super gorgeous but acting was like okay, not terrible, but nothing to brag about.

I've never found Sonam to be a bad actress, she's always been decent at the very least.

I moreso dislike her offscreen where she can be obnoxious and high headed

I have not watched this movie but happened to watch Aisha yesterday and what pathetic acting she does. If not for Abhay I would stop watching in 5 mins.

Haven't seen Saawraiya...

Iyarkai movie was also based d novel white nights which got released before Saawariya.. and I dislike d plot ...So skipped watching this one :P

It's a pity the movie wasn't any good. She was one of the best thing about the movie with the music.

Otherwise the movie haf bad editing, looked too gloomy and thus depressing and boring and the decors and atmosphere of the film didn't help in any way it felt as if they were in a no man's land.

Regarding Players, while her role wasn't anything to boast about, her performance was okayish.

It's in I Hate Love Stories that I was shocked but after seeing Punit's next film, it was obvious that this guy is simply a bad director.
