It lost its potential , when it showed Anushka saying Meri jaan Meri jaan in her annoying voice to point home that she is Pakistani.

For me.. if the story was something along the lines of they meet in places by accident just like hum tum.. and the girl keeps rejecting him on every occasion.. then finally she gives in at the end of the movie.. that would have been somewhat pass able.. again no cancer stuff!!

Not a bad movie overall, songs were excellent with memorable lyrics, Ash looked stunning. Lisa was hilarious in her short role. Anu and RK performed their roles well.

The movie suffered because of bad edits and cuts to eliminate the Pakistani references, because FK's role was edited so badly that the story appeared choppy without proper continuity.

The ending was really BAD...cancer track was not needed at all, they shd have ended with Anu returning to FK and RK alone, singing sad title song.

As for unpleasant characterization, why do movie characters have to be pleasant and perfect all the time? In real life people are flawed, annoying, make mistakes, are stubborn and extremely exasperating sometimes.

Its so childish to expect all fictional characters to be picture perfect and amazing people. 😆

Agree! Karan really doesn't know how to handle complicated relationships because he tries to add extra bollywood drama to it.

I do think the movie had potential. It is not everyday you get to see a boy/girl friendship with different layers.

I was more interested in Ash-Srks story lol

They shouldn't have gone with the cancer angle. I would've loved to see him end up with Ash or see Anu fall in love with someone else and Ranbir ends up alone

I actually thought there was a point to the cancer angle. The point was that at NO point would anushka be able to see Ranbir as anyone BUT a friend. Not even at the brink of death. Sometimes people say it's about timing when you meet. In this instance, it was just that she could never see him that way jo matter if she met him at the brink of depth
