Why didn't you added popular BW actor KSG in the list? 😆

At this time it's Varun who is slowly marching towards superstardom...but I somehow feel RK will bounce back..he will be like the Amir Khan of next generation..

I don't like saying a young star will be next this or that. It's unfair to say so.

But every era had 3 Superstars and 2 or 3 who was just there but never in top 3.

1950's to 1960's belonged

Raj Kapoor | Dev Anand | Dilip Kumar

with 3 stars who came close to these 3

Rajendra Kumar | Shammi Kapoor | Manoj Kumar

1970's to mid 1990's

Rajesh Khanna | Dharmendra | Amitabh Bachchan

with 3 stars who came close were

Vinod Khanna | Shashi Kapoor | Jeetendra

80's to 90's did have many stars who could reach top top 3 status which varied from
Rishi Kapoor, Mithun Chakraborty, Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Sunny Deol, Govinda and Jackie Shroff

1990's to 2010's

Aamir Khan | Salman Khan | Shahrukh Khan

with only 2 stars being able to have somewhat consistency like these 3 but was latter joined by another huge star who had potential for top 3 status but due to lack of quantity of films he also remained below the 3 Khans.

Akshay Kumar | Ajay Devgn | Hrithik Roshan

After than many new bunch came after 2007 but only 3 shows the potential of being all rounder

Varun Dhawan | Ranveer Singh | Ranbir Kapoor

Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, Sushant Singh Rajput & Ayushman Khurana may get their share of success but they are limited with certain genres which they excel in unlike 3 above. If Ranbir Kapoor doesn't pick up from here then he may see himself being replaced too but other 2 have done well so far. Varun has set a record which will be remembered for a long time. 9 consecutive success from beginning of his career which if for an all time record is only behind Rajesh Khanna's early 70's record (15 success in a row) and Salman's Blockbuster run of 10 back to back success until Tubelight.

But if you ask from current situation then ONLY Varun Dhawan has set him close to that tag. Needs 2 - 3 blockbuster/super hits and he is there.

I think Rajendra kumar had more hits then Dilip, Raj and Dev ..he was called jubilee kumar for a reason. He didnt have the aura, charm or charisma of the trio u mentioned. 70s and 80s belonged to one and only Amitabh, he was called no.1 to 10 by the press, maybe it was an exaggeration.

On topic, I'd say Ranbir, but right now he's strugglibg to get a hit. If he can make a turn around it'll be an interesting game. Brahmastra will be his acid test if its a pan india hit then he's right back in top 3

I still put my bet on Ranbir on being the biggest star.
People don't realise that Ranbir just needs one big hit, and he will eat up everyone.
He is favorite of BW(along with Alia), him having a huge hit, will be super hyped on every media platform, and cloud general public opinion. He was on his way to superstardom few years back, until he hit his own foot with terrible movie choices.

Ranveer: He is just a step away from being a bonafide superstar, and just needs Simba to click and win him the single screen launde lapandes.

Varun: He is on his way, but I just fear he does not risk his momemtum by trying to please both ends(mass and class) by trying everything. He should concentrate on his strength, which which rom-com and comedy. Find a niche and appreciation will follow.

Tiger: He just needs Kjo be successful in making him a female darling with SOTY2, and most importantly don't try experiments.

Others nah will not be superstars.
