And what's their source?

I hope people stop with the rumour mongering. Irrfan has requested people not to spread baseless rumours, and that he himself will come out with the truth in a week-ten days.

But just want to know in general, how does cancer get to stage 4 before getting diagnosed? Like don't people notice the symptoms by then? Won't they be really serious? I can understand if stage 1 goes unnoticed for a while..

No sometimes there are no symptoms at all and not even diagnosed during routine medical check up. Granted some type of cancer like colon can be detected if one does colonoscopy and yearly check ups but most of them are not detected until symptoms start showing. Some people are lucky and have symptoms during the first stage which makes treatment more effective. With some cancers the goal is cure while with others its simply palliative (no cure).

He probably got some immunity related disease that needs attention. Rare disease may be but not something incurable i think. Which is why he released out the statement

While all are analyzing about disease , i m sure 100 % PR disease for his upcoming movie
1. No one declare his own disease in twitter that too prior to any confirmed diagnosis.

2. He posted trailer , songs of his movie and next tweet is about this revelation.

3. His next movie is black mail and story revolve around blackmailing someone to not reveal some information.

4. Literally saying in his post dont speculate about disease , as if any one speculate anything earlier. Now all re busy in speculating.

crap PR disease 😆

Raja sen may be part of that PR , i think he created these buzz with 0 investment 😆 ,next will declare its about story of his next movie , looking at the poster it shows EMI loan etc. So may be he will declare this is the story and his own life effected by these loans etc.

simple logic who will reveal some life threatening disease on twitter , when no one asking him for the same 😆

^^ I did wonder, why he gave this half-news out, he could have waited till he got the diagnosis and then announced it. Saying something like "I've got a rare illness please don't speculate I'll tell everything in 10 days" is only going to lead to more speculation to what he is suffering from. Twitter, for eg, is going wild with the disease rumours, claiming anything from brain cancer to HIV. But I don't believe this is any way related to movie publicity, it's the wrong timing to play with public sympathy.
