They attended the funeral because they were in Mumbai and if they weren't , they wouldn't have taken a trip to only attend the funeral especially that's for sure.

There is some unnatural level of hatred towards her in this thread lol. I think it's more people directing their frustration about Taimur rather than her not attending a funeral. We don't know what the real tea is here, so why are people attacking her so viciously like she's committed a grave crime.

When someone dies we tend to put them on a pedestal so high and expect every single person to fall in line. Yes Sri was a legend but that doesn't mean every single actor has to attend her funeral. Working in someone's movie doesn't make you close to them, it's a business contract. She for sure would have conveyed her condolences via other means , smh .

There's nothing surprising. They still go on vacation to celebrate birthdays after deaths in their own family.

Deepika flew in from Banglore even though she already visited the family in anil kapoors home to pay her respect. As far as I know Deepika wasn't close to Sridevi and I don't think Sridevi was her Idol. And I am sure other actresses would have also would have fly in if they were in other parts of India...
The only reason not fly in is if you are having any work related commitments, are in another continent/abroad or ill.

But Kareena Kapoor is old enough to know what she is doing.

I understand but I'm saying that we cannot seriously attack someone because we feel they should do what we feel is right. We don't know what the full story is. Kareena doesn't have social media where she can post to clarify or pay homage to a star, consider that. Now if this is her extended family like Shammi K I can definitely support criticism being given but I think not only her several other stars are celebrating and carrying on as normal.

We don't know for sure whether she spoke to Sonam and the rest of the fam, what the deal is yet we are attacking her . I'm not even a big Kareena fangirl just feel it's weird to assume things without full knowledge and expect that out of someone who they may not be close to.

As for idol this and that, these Bollywood celebs just give the same record broken answer about every actor and actress of yesteryear as their idol IMO. Anyway to each their own!

Yes you are right. We shouldn't attack somebody based on what we would have done. And we don't know what went behind the the doors. It is likely that she called Sonams family. We don't know that...

Sonam is posting selfies of her and her sister on her page right now and this forum is tearing Kareena apart for not attending SriDevi's funeral coz she was out of town. LOL

Also, to be honest, funerals are never for the person who died. It's for the people who are left behind. Even if Sridevi was evil, it's a devastating blow for her husband and children. Those are the people you are supposed to lend a shoulder to, not the person who is dead.

In cases of tragic deaths, even the most distant relations show up in order to be respectful. Rajasthan is very close and she could have taken a quick flight in like others did. Saif wasn't going to go anywhere and she would get millions of other chances to be with him.

I don't know why fans are even bothering to defend her to say she's not insensitive when she herself clearly doesn't care how she looks or what anyone thinks of her.
