@IM: 🤗

I too still cannot believe it, has not sunk in yet! 😭

Shes been a major part of our movie going experience since the 80s...
Mr India was a family favorrite, her Hawa Hawaii was outrageously funny, I remember we girls used to dance on the terrace in the rain with Kaatey nahin kattey yeh din yeh raat ...so many fond memories
Then Chandni, Lamhe ..the songs, the romance...Chandni saris were the rage at that year's Durga Puja
Lamhe, that song in the desert, just loved it
Chaalbaaz...she was again a queen of comedy in that one, her expressions and dancing were top notch
Sadma...again a gem of a movie with Kamal Haasan as her brilliant costar
She was a phenomenon, a true superstar, a great actress and dancer!

I loved her 2nd innings even more, Shashi in English Vinglish spoke to all of us, such a heartwarming portrayal of a housewife.
She was brilliant as the avenging mother in Mom, her eyes burned with fire of vengeance!

Mom was her swan song, alas! She had so much more to give, but life is unpredictable, we are all mere mortals and death comes suddenly.

Feel really bad for her daughters, Jhanvi who will debut in July but her mother wont be there to see it ... and the younger one, Khushi who is still a teenager has lost her mother's touch and guidance forever
RIP, Sridevi ! May her soul find peace in the hereafter!

Very heart touching post ImagineMe, it got me so emotional.

She was truly beautiful, talented & highly praised for her work in Bollywood, just shows what a true talent & legend she was. Just been reading about her success. She will be very much missed by Bollywood & a lot of people. It's gona be so painful for her daughter, just when her daughter's career is about to start & her mother won't be there to watch her debut & her Bollywood journey ahead!!

@ImagineMe-I feel your pain dear 🤗and know how exactly you must be feeling as I am also feeling the same.😭

I just cant believe that the legendary Sridevi is no more.I have been a die-hard Sri fan for as long as I can remember and this shocking news just isn't sinking in at all.Just yesterday me and some friends were discussing her and today we get this shocking news.😭

You see I usually don't really ever visit this place, but today I had to come pay tribute to the legend of all legends, and on top of it all I just got to see this amazing tribute thread of yours that has got me all choked up and at the same time has brought back buckets full of nostalgia of the good old Sridevi days.
My older brother has always been a huge Sri fan and he's in total shock and heartbroken over this news that he's constantly texting away all legendary Sridevi movie songs to me.

He just sent this which is hIs all time fave Sri song and Movie and one of mine too

And this one is another personal all time fave of mine-

I can't believe this. I have literally grown up on her movies in Tamil, Telugu and I have lesser knowledge of her Hindi filmography.
I am just in shock here.

RIP Sridevi. We lost a legend today. She was just unique. A female superstar who dominated in multiple industries. Here she is, as a teen in a Tamil movie.

I have no words, just tears at someone we lost so soon.

Never known anyone who was so painfully shy, so quiet off screen, who just transformed into a force of nature when the cameras came on. She was an interviewer's nightmare, but the movie-buff's dream. You will be missed, Sridevi. Thank you for the movies. Requested Sridevi multiple times to be on the Actresses Roundtable recently; she was so good in Mom. She said she really enjoyed watching the Roundtables but didnt have anything valuable to say. She'd do anything to avoid interviews. She really let her performances do the talking

Oh man!The screen is blurry. Gutted! Was so excited after Mom and English Vinglish, that we'd see more of her.Childhood,love,inspiration. Gone too soon... legend. Exceptional talent. #RIPSridevi this loss feels personal. For MOM she deserved all the awards. No one today is a patch on her talent and craft. Gutted. #RIPSridevi
