Sid has already been given ample chances but he failed to utilize them properly. It is not his fault entirely. He is a decent actor IMO. But what did lacks is the spark needed to become a hit commercial star. Varun has that in spades, although I don't find him to be any better than did as far as acting is concerned.

Sid should probably start being a little more independent now and start exploring other options. If he has any shame and dignity left then he should stop hanging out with kjo/alia gang.

I find him to be decent as well, I liked him in Kapoor and Sons, A Gentleman and Hasee toh Phasee but unfortunately his luck is really really bad, he lacks some sort of X factor..

I know a lot of people here think that Varun is oh such a great actor and what not but I dont find him that much different from Sid either but where he lucked out was his choice of films and he focused on what works best for him..he got three home production films and then KJo backing him up, add to that he has an excellent screen presence so it all worked pretty well for him and if his new films work well as well then there is no stopping him..

Sid on the other hand has hard luck and on top of it, hanging out with KJo and them still is not gonna help his personality or career anymore..

I like Sid cause he seems to be a nice guy, and is decent in his movies.

^^ yes because he doesn't have that standout quality, I still dont get it why only Parineeti was so lauded for her performance in HTP when Sid was good too, k&S I get it coz the ensemble was all really strong and they all performed extremely well..

yes he was good in Ittefaq but then again that I thought that movie was half baked and I wasnt too convinced overall..so the director is at fault too..

I think he is a genuinely nice guy too who is not a great actor but can do a decent job if given a good director, so he can probably look out for roles where he is not overshadowed by others or he can just settle down with supporting roles.
