I feel bad for Sid. He isn't the greatest actor but he isn't as awful as he is made out to be sometimes. He was good in Kapoor&Sons, decent in Ek Villain, decent in Hasee Toh Phasee, and also he wasn't bad in Brothers. He fits in a certain type of character. He is not made for loud, outgoing, or masala characters. He should have stuck to his strength of sweet and subtle characters. Experimenting isn't for everyone and what is the point of experimenting if you don't fit the role? Nowadays, everyone is so busy trying to be versatile that they are forgetting that certain roles are just not worth it. Kjo hasn't mentored him as well as he did with the other two. He needs films with good music and a charming boy image.

Well, Kjo has been Kind n Large Hearted Soul for Sid who does not hv more than ONE expression. He shud be very happy with all the Moolah, Ads, Movies and Fame he got bcoz of Karan n his PR till now! It was WAYYY more than he deserved.

Tbh kjo has helped sid alot, he has gotten sid movies, brand deals, magazine covers, sid has got the dream mentor in kjo, coz kjo literally has the best connections and knows how to present his actors in the best possible way

sid had has gotten so much that many other actors wud wish for, but sid has shown that he does not hav that spark to be aoble to bring his films the high box office numbers

He isn't the strongest actor or dancer, doesn't hav the most interesting personality, whereas alia and varun hav all these qualities

The biggest attraction of sid is his looks, that is Wat has garnered him most of his popularity

Yes he is considered to be gud in some of his movies, but being just 'gud' is not enough wen his contemporaries r doing much better performances, sid needs to stand out from the crowd which he has not been able to do

Kjo has even given sid opportunities to work with every current actress, he did adverts with dp, pc, kriti, anushka. Did films with it alia, Shraddha, Parineeti, Sonakshi, katrina, jaqueline and he even got to do a song with kareena lol I mean Wat more can kjo give to him? He even got to do a film with akshay kumar and Manoj bajpayee

But I'm sure kjo will keep getting sid more films and brand deals

This was coming. Not surprised! KJo however nice he portrays himself to be, is a shrewd businessman at the end of the day. To be fair on his part, why would anyone want to put money into films with Sid whose films deliver a 3-4 Cr opening! When there is a Varun, RS, RK..

I feel bad for him as i genuinely think he is nice. unfortunately i see no improvement in his acting though!

Cannot blame the mentor here. He has done enough.

But what about the Vikram Batra biopic? I thought that was confirmed.

Also, there are some more avenues now.. like web series. Saif is trying one. Also there are movies directly releasing on Netflix.

I wonder what will happen to his career now cause he ain't a star kid. Thank god for online content, it should keep Sid gainfully employed for a while.
