if Hollywood could glorify that what is so
lacking in padmavat?
any child who knows Helen of Troy story n Padmavat
story can tell the similarity ..so what is there that
NYT is dissing ?just bcoz its not made in USA
so its a poor man's Helen of Troy n so the queen's
integrity n the king's meekness can be laughed at?
why the hell did the King not send Helen of Troy n spare
his soldiers why did Helen not go to war n waste the soldiers
life?if padmavat is unworthy tale so is Helen of Troy.

If the movie was criticised for having two lined plot, I would have understood. Take out the set, take out acting, story reduces to 10% of what it is. But nobody watched it from religious angle like the author.

Not true many muslims were offended Khiljis portrayal is false and people were disappointed with his characterization anyway for me movie is poor lacks story and WOM is poor. No one I know has walked out saying 10/10

I dont know about thrash but the movie didnt work for me! ITs a waste of time and not a theatre watch. Very disappointed with SLB not one single fight scene, the visuals were average and movie was choppy! Even songs sucked! Worst movie for SLB after Saawariya

1) Did I say they don't know what adaptation is? No. Did I say you have a great point of reference? Yes.
2) FYI several Oscar winners tweak things in their adaptations and yet SLB hasn't just tweaked things he's changed the whole bloody story!
3) I'm not sure why you think these award shows are the Gods of everything film? Do you know how the film industry works? These directors and the jury board can do random shit and then call it whatever they want, doesn't mean they're scholars who are stringent about "definitions.
4) These film awards and festivals have in many ways BUTCHERED film, so go look up to them like they're the Gods of film, but don't expect me to do the same. Overrated af award shows and festivals. Just a bunch of old white men sitting on the jury boards making biased decisions.
