This made me laugh especially context wala sentence.. let me add baap ka tang, bhai ka muscle, bahen ki makeup, chacha ka baal, chachi ki kaan, padosi ke billi etc etc to maa ki aankh 😆

Ratan singh's character was a complete idiot... And Shahid played it stiffly.. He just didn't have the stature to play a king

And khilji was a complete cartoon.. And ranveer hammed like there is no tomorrow.. A friend of mine said that the saddest thing is than ranveer is going to think that THIS is good acting

The biggest culprit is slb who will know in detail the color of the flower design on the carpet but won't spend a fraction of that time on developing the damn characters

😆Manchild would make Khijli look silly and comical, Ranveer however he played him even if it was cartoonish is at least effective in the sense that he looks manly for the role, but manchild even as Ratan looked like a newborn baby even DP could carry him around in her arms

SLB should stop making period movies end of story make something more contemporary with a different cast he over obsessing with his lead jodi in his movies he doesn't have the sensibilities to make real intense manly kinda stuff, he lacks the vision, he should make movies like Khamoshi which was his best work or just retire. He exaggerates everything

Ranveer and shahid played the characters the way slb wanted them to, it's slbs decision and vision at the end of the day, he is the one that says cut and finalises the way the scene is performed

So wen shahid is saying he wud do khilji differently, that's more him having a different opnion to slbs vision, he isn't disagreeing with the way rs performed it, Ranveer just did Wat slb wanted him to do, the character is Wat slb wrote, Ranveer did not write the character, and we know how much of a task master slb is, he makes his actors perform the way he wants them to

And slb himself said his khilji is 'colourful' that's the way he wanted khilji to be, not completely dark, he has his light moments and dark moments, many loved it and if some didn't agree with it that's OK, movies r subjective and people hav different opnions on them

I'm just happy rs got a huge amount of appreciation for it, he is a directors actor, watever the Directors says he does the role the way they want

I think both the actors done the fabulous job in this movie. Shahid Kapoor, as well as Ranveer Singh both, are really done an awesome job in the Padmaavat.

hehe i enjoyed raja ratan singh's acting. all the stupid dialogues were really funny till they got boring.

but ranveer is better.

Play reference to the context just to bash Ranveer seriously kuch bhi 😆 even with the loudness and craziness he was better than the so called restrained aka boring Ratan . Ranveer did full justice to what SLB's version of khilji was (though I don't agree with his vision but thats a different thing) and Shahid didn't #Fact 😆 he was lacking when it came to the romance/chemistry or feel of a royal king he stuck out like a sore thumb I felt like skipping all his scenes he put me to sleep the passion was missing from his performance and maybe thats why Ranveer ended up looking way better in comparison coz say what you may but you can't deny his passion its evident in his eyes. Any normal individual would feel envy if someone else walks away with all the praise you were hoping for can't entirely blame Shahid for being pissed and bitter but he could have chosen to be more mature about it and focus his angst towards his upcoming projects instead of cribbing and whining like a baby it reflects badly upon him.
