BTW it's not true that only now the culture is changed and up until now women were not allowed to speak up and expose their harassers, sexual harassment was accepted, considered normal etc. (I hear this on TV a lot)

In the 1990s Women were suing their coworkers, bosses for sexual harassment whether it happened or not. (In 1977 courts allowed women to sue their employers for sexual harassment)

I think the first high profile case was against Justice Clarence Thomas ( he's a conservative supreme court judge) in 1991

But then Clinton happened and they changed their tune...

Feminists leaders and icons started attacking his victims or justifying his actions and said peopel should let it go

One feminist even said american women should be lining up, on their knees, to express their gratitude to him

Then they started again in 2016 and we know why 😉

Now that people from their side are being taken down soon they will change their tune and if and when in the future one of their Presidential candidate is accused of sexual harassment they will say enough is enough, enough of this metoo movement

In all these cases too he just did not seem to stop and was mere desperate and hence the claims are true. It's a kind of an assault as the women clearly did not want it for whatever reason as she has a right to have one. It was not consensual at all.

Can't get why it's not considered an assault as any kinda force used against the others wish is an assault. He was just too desperate and clearly ignored her refusal and went on🤢

I think you should read the girl's story https://babe.net/2018/01/13/aziz-ansari-28355
There was no force. She was always free to leave his apartment. He called an Uber for her as soon as she told him she was leaving. He texted her the next day completely unaware she had any problem with him and was surprised to hear different. In the story she authorized it says : Whether Ansari didn't notice Grace's reticence or knowingly ignored it is impossible for her to say. "I know I was physically giving off cues that I wasn't interested. I don't think that was noticed at all, or if it was, it was ignored.

she acknowledges whatever she was doing to communicate her disinterest wasn't noticed by him. How is it not at least partly her fault to not say clearly "no, stop " ? She isn't a child and she isn't mute and she wasn't drunk, why didn't she speak?

A woman sees a famous guy. They exchange numbers and flirt.
They meet up for dinner. Guy takes her to his place.
She is uncomfortable the whole time but doesn't speak up.
Then he gestures her to give him a BJ, she does while still uncomfortable.
Woman sends mixed signals. Guy thinks she is OK.
She says NO, he stops .They get dressed and watch Netflix. Then he calls her a Uber.
Next day she vocalizes her predicament. He apologizes.
The End.
(I may have missed few details but this was the gist I got out of it)

This was a case of a bad date.
I don't see sexual abuse in any way here. She could have not gone to his place in the first place.
She made a bad choice. She should have her expectations made very clear.
(If she didn't like the wine she could have easily said so)
Demonizing men is not the core concept of feminism and MeToo movement. This is absolutely insane to expect men to read women's minds.
We need to teach our girls to be able to say NO and not expect men to read their minds.
Equality comes from understanding both genders are strong in their own right. She had a voice and she should have used it.
This is just stupid.

Anita Hill was the one who accused Clarence Thomas of sexual misconduct. Look what happened to her. The victim's name is erased, but the perpetrator prevails.

Things didn't change overnight. The road to equality is a long weary road. We are here today not because of a miracle, but because of the courage and tireless persistence of people over the decades who spoke up despite being silenced.

It is unfortunate how Clinton's allegations were dealt with. But liberals have not always spared their own. Look at the careers of Eliot Spitzer, Anthony Weiner, and Al Franken. And some conservatives did display their conscience when it came to Roy Moore.

Please let's not make this a political, liberal, or conservative issue - but treat it as a human issue.

That's all.

Love Banfield. Last sane person on CNN if she's still on there. This was definitely a bad date. Period. I agree with everything Banfield said. Calling everything a sexual assault is ridiculous,

Turns out he not only gets hot women all the time, but he gets to do stuff with them after just one dinner (mahbe they're grateful for the dinner) without any cajoling or foreplay all the while behaving like a rough, horny, entitled 18 yr old (according to his date)

But why did this lady went to his room to eat popcorn together ? 😕

tsk tsk...such a wrong question to ask...so what if she went to his room to eat popcorn or with the intention of having sex...she didn't want it later , she changed her mind, she didn't like it and she objected and said no...anything after that would be considered sexual assault...

let me ask you...what if u forget to lock ur house and a thief gets in and steals ur valuables...who is the victim here?? You are ...or just because u were careless gave that thief the right to rob ur house??

People asking such questions probably do not know about marital rape...u don't have to go anywhere...u can be in the bed with ur husband and if u say no...any attempt to have sex after that is considered rape..the law is very clear on what constitutes an assault.
