Anushka's Pari Digital Trailer Release CANCELLED, Blame It On Padmavat

Till a few days ago, December 5 was special for both Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli. While the cricketer was prepping for test series against South Africa (began today), the actress was gearing up for Pari's digital trailer launch.

However, things didn't go as per plan for Anushka. Reason? Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor starrer Padmavati.

Says a source, "Anushka and Prernaa Arora (KriArj Entertainment, co-producer of Pari) had decided to launch the trailer today as no films were on the horizon as a result of which movie-buffs would be focused on Pari. However, speculations surrounding Padmavati's release date forced them to change their plans.

Adds the source, "Team Padmavati is yet to announce their release date and Pari makers are keen that they take the final call on the trailer launch post that. In case of the period drama coming out on February 9, they would want to push the film and tweak the trailer accordingly.

SpotboyE.com had told you that Viacom (producers of Padmavati) officials have had long meetings recently, toying with with the idea of releasing Padmavati on either January 26 (a day after Pad Man) or February 9 (Pari's release date).

However, last night, Akshay declared that Pad Man will release on January 25 come what may. It clearly indicates that the superstar is confident of the product and sees no reason to panic.

In such a scenario, February 9 still remains a wobbly spot for KriArj and Anushka.
