Trailer Preview: Ranveer Singh ft. S.I.M.M.B.A. spells a blockbuster!

Here's what we think of Simmba trailer from the special preview screening!

Rohit Shetty, who created Bollywood's squeaky clean, tough-as-nails super cop Singham, now gives us the alter ego to that policeman a roguish, devil-may-care man in khaki who also is the nemesis of gangsters, the underworld and all scum of society and goes by the name of Simmba! Ajay Devgn as Singham is gritty and poker-faced, like chilled steel in the face of all heat; whereas Ranveer Singh as Simmba is outrageous, fun-and-games and volatile!

PeepingMoon.com was invited to Rohit Shetty's office for a blasting private screening of the Simmba trailer just now with the director himself. He sat on the edge of the seat and watched it closely himself. At the end, we had one question for Rohit. What did he feel when he saw the trailer? "I loved it and I'm very happy with it, he admitted.

Here's what we think:

S: Simmba is sexy because Ranveer Singh is Bollywood's new poster boy and sex symbol. He's savvy as the super cop, intensely brooding one moment and crazily explosive the next. Like a stack of dynamite waiting to explode. And he looks hot in khaki, too.

I: Intense, that's the word to describe the smashing action and mad fire blazing in Ranveer's eyes when he's on the rampage. This is the Khilji look in Khaki and all evil doers had better run and hide coz Simmba's gonna get you!

M: Masti, what's a Rohit Shetty film and that too with Ranveer Singh in the lead if it's not packed with masti from start till end? Crew on the sets of Simmba say there was so much of it going around that they didn't know when the shot was taken because the film is uproarious in every frame.

M: Mean and macho, there is a twist in the tale somewhere, the trailer indicates that Simmba has a mean streak in his machismo and somewhere down the track he has a change of heart. Let's wait for it, then.

B: Badass, that's Sonu Sood's character in Simmba, a kind of coincidence that the Bollywood heavy plays a baddie once again in a cop drama. Remember he got his chops busted by Chulbul Pandey in Dabangg first? Now it's Simmba's turn!

A: Action, the Rohit Shetty kind, with man and machine exploding and flying in the air, and also action of the romantic kind, with Sara Ali Khan still wet from the floods of Kedarnath cozying up to Ranveer on a Triumph motorbike as they zip down the Goa highway.

The trailer of the film will be out on December 3, 2018.

The much awaited trailer of 2018, Simmba is going to take the web by storm on 3rd December, but we got a chance to watch this power packed trailer and all we can say is that it is going to be an instant HIT!! Well it isn't the first time that we see an actor play a cop on the big screen, but when Rohit Shetty decides to make a cop film, it is bound to be a kickass one. It goes without saying that Ranveer Singh is the show stealer in this 2 minutes 54 seconds trailer, and we can definitely vouch for a Simmba franchise roll on post the release of the film.

For Rohit Shetty, it is a huge risk as he is the person behind the creation of the most iconic and most loved Bollywood cop Singham. To present yet another cop character from the Rohit Shetty production means comparisons are bound to happen. It is going to be Simmba vs Singham. But rest assured, Simmba is surely here to stay. We give you 5 things we loved about the trailer which is set to release officially on 3rd December.

1) RANVEER SINGH

We have seen Singh play a Delhi lover boy in Band Baaja Baraat, a romantic warrior in Bajirao Mastani, a billionaire's son in Dil Dhadkne Do and an anti-hero in Padmaavat. But we haven't seen Ranveer in an out an out masala hero film. At this point in his career, Singh surely needed to let his hair down and pick up a lighter role. Simmba is that role, and Ranveer Singh manages to ace the cop game and how! We tend to forget our good old Singham as soon as Simmba hits the screens. We are glad the actor said yes to this one as his new year will surely end on a high note!

2) SARA ALI KHAN

Sara Ali Khan is a breath of fresh air in this action-packed, intense dialogue delivery trailer. Her smile adds the charm and colour to Bhalerao's life as well. Though there isn't much of the actress' performance shown in the trailer, we are sure Simmba being her second film is going to end up being a blockbuster.

3) DAMDAAR DIALOUGES

What's a Rohit Shetty film without heavy duty dialogues. References to Robinhood aka Chulbul Pandey do crop up but only as good comic relief. Ranveer Singh has perfected the style of Simmba and with a Marathi Manus touch. "Yeh kalyug hai kalyug yaha log Ek hi maksad ke liye jeete hain. Apne liye!! Ranveer Singh mouthing such dialouges is just a glimpse to what his character is all about.

4) BACKGROUND SCORE

Rohit Shetty's films are larger than life but what makes it an out of the world experience is its background score. If you are yet not over the Singham hook tune then wait for Simmba's. Each time Ranveer Singh makes an entry and a re-entry, the Simmba hook tune will pump up the adrenaline rush. Aala re aala Simmba aala' is definitely a chartbuster.

5) THE SUPER DUPER SURPRISE ELEMENT

No matter how much we want to give away the surprise package of the trailer you have to wait for 3rd December, and then, once it is out, wait for it to hit 2 minutes 50 seconds. That's when the entire game changes!!!
