Veer Zaara has much more of a strong concept. People can relate to it to a certain extent. I think I'd have to pick VZ over DDLJ.

I don't remember watching the movie DDLJ but love the songs. But I remember watching veer zara, falling asleep in the middle and waking up at the end...ending was beautiful with srk reading the poem. That poem reading of his in court makes the film classic. Love the songs as well, preity was cute, pretty and rani was in small appearance but good one

VZ cz as much as I love DDLJ I don't remember my first memories of watching it with as much interest as I wasn't old enough
