Kamal Haasan on Monday took to Twitter and said, "I want Ms Deepika's head.. saved. Respect it more than her body.Even more her freedom. Do not deny her that.Many communities have opposed my films.Extremism in any debate is deplorable. Wake up cerebral India.Time to think. We've said enough. Listen, Ma Bharat."
DNA reports that Aamir and Shah Rukh reached out to Deepika over the phone. The moment Aamir read the news, he immediately called up Deepika to check on her. He was extremely concerned about her. Aamir and Deepika had a long conversation about the whole scenario and he assured her of being there for her if needed. Deepika's other co-stars including Shah Rukh also called Deepika, as stated in the same report.
Writer Ramachandra Guha has also been showing constant efforts to support Bhansali. One of his tweets read, "In opposing Padmavati and in supporting it both the MP CM and the WB CM are playing communal politics. Shivraj Singh Chouhan is a hardcore Hindutvawadi; as for Mamata Banerjee, if she believes in artistic freedom let her invite Taslima Nasreen to live & work in West Bengal."
