I find Ed so funny in these pictures. He looks traumatised but then, I think that's just his face. Went for the concert yesterday. Was fun. I would have preferred going to a Chainsmokers concert though, since their music is better to dance on.

His music is what you listen to on a pleasant or rainy day but Indians LOVE romantic songs, if the radio is any evidence for that. I am more of a Kala Chashma girl than a Tum Hi Ho one.

I agree about the inferiority complex. This is why their kids are so angrez and not comfortable in Indian settings.

The desperation is 🤢.

He is a good artist but don't act like he is God. Bollywood celebs are such Hollywood wannabes. I feel like all of them would ditch Bollywood at the drop of a hat if they got an 'offer' from Hollywood.

I think the ones who do have some self-respect are SRK, PC, Salman, Aamir etc. They may host parties but at least they don't hang off of every word these singers and actors utter.

Glad you went for it, C! A few people I can see that I know, went for it. Seems like it was a fun concert. Most definitely prefer Chainsmokers over Ed. especially their collaboration with this Canadian girl who is a S Indian, God her voice is sooo good. And their collaboration on Closer is excellent.

That is 🤣

BTW-

19. And, of course, it seems that we never really learn about cleanliness because here's ONE MORE concert that ended with people not picking up after themselves.

Anuya Chakravarthi @chakranuya

So sad to see this at #edsheeranMumbai today. People can afford tickets worth Rs. 4750, but don't know where to throw the trash!

It's 2017. Global warming is real and we're all dying, but cleaning up after ourselves is a habit we refuse to learn. Smdh.

Exactly. SRK etc will host parties to get to know them/welcome them/ ok even suck upto them but they do even that with dignity.

Yes, Ed did a good job. He seems to be a good guy, based on whatever I have seen of him, unlike, *cough* Justin Bieber *cough*

But Ed Sheeran got sold out in minutes, right? I think Indians do REALLY like Ed Sheeran, just like we love Coldplay.

Kygo is coming next week. Now that would be a fun concert, I suppose. The opening act by Lauv was amazing. Will check out his music.

Wish they would have concerts with Bollywood music- I would turn up for that lol.

Canadian girl- Vidya Vox?

But then this happened to (in reference to my previous post)-

Karan Arora @KaranArora

Customers picking up trash post #EdSheeran Concert. Mumbai rocks // video recorded by @bookmyshow promoter at venue.

@MEB, guess some threw stuff but others stayed back to help clear the space.

As they say, responsible and irresponsible people everywhere.

Which is the Chainsmokers collaboration with Vidya? I missed it. 😲

There's A Lot Of Concern For Poor Ed Sheeran Being Made To Hang Out With Bollywood Celebs In Mumbai

"Those photos of Sheeran partying with the B'wood elite is what I imagine a hostage would look like when told to smile for the camera."

Posted on November 20, 2017, at 2:46 p.m.

ICYMI, the dude behind the biggest earworm of the year, Ed Sheeran, was in Mumbai this weekend to perform as part of his Divide world tour.

Now there's one thing any foreign celebrity inevitably HAS to go through if they happen to land in Mumbai hang out and do photo-ops with whichever Bollywood stars happen to be in town.

Also inevitable is the fact that said Bollywood stars will end up embarrassing themselves, and make their guests hella uncomfortable in the process.

Well, our boy Edward sure wasn't gonna escape this commitment, as he ended up being hauled all the way to Lokhandwala to hang out with Bollywood's choicest B-listers.

The party, hosted by Farah Khan, gave Sheeran the unenviable job of posing for a bunch of Instagrams with people he'd never heard of before.

This included people like one-and-done star of Mohenjodaro, Pooja Hegde...

Jhalak Dikhla Ja host Maniesh Paul...

And Raveena Tandon's husband. \_()_/

As selfies of Sheeran started flooding the internet, it seemed like there was only one thing people could focus on...

The fact that Sheeran looked like he didn't want to be in any of them.

Ed Sheeran looks tormented in those Bollywood party pictures.

A bunch of people joked about how he was trying to signal for help in the photos.

Ed Sheeran partying with Bollywood's elite is morse coding us with dead eyes and plastic smiles, begging to be saved.

Others pointed out that Sheeran might've been sleeping his way through the bash.

And most were just apologetic on behalf of the industry.

Of course, this isn't to say that he didn't have fun. He seemed to get along great with Farah Khan's three kids.

And say what we will, it was still the best party in town this weekend, and anyone would've wanted to be there.

"Come on now, follow my lead I may be crazy, don't mind me " Thank you @TheFarahKhan for being the perfect' host that you always are & for a rocking party last night. The hangover still continues. I can see the Shape of you' with @edsheeran

But considering the fact that there are very real threats hanging over Bollywood right now *literal* death threats in the case of Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Deepika Padukone it's no surprise that their priorities are being questioned.

And people weren't impressed with the wilful ignorance on display there.

ilika s thapa @ilikasrivastava

The whole of Bollywood is busy partying with Ed Sheeran. Clicking selfies and pouting. Whereas the real crisis is being ignored. Appalled how no one is speaking in support of #Padmavati and everyone is so so silent. Sad times for India cinema.

When they get some free time from Ed Sheeran, Bollywood biggies got to come together and back Bhansali and team. Tomorrow it will definitely be their turn to be bullied. Don't let #Padmavati be a precedent.

Ah, well. At least the party gave the world this GIF of Sheeran shaking a leg, if nothing else.
