it will be a HIT becoz budget is 18 cr and its already 15 (Crores) Tuesday business...since padmavati is not coming...this weekend will definitely jump...

Tumhari Sulu has received good reviews from critics but it has been the audience response that has made this film successful so far. It has exceeded expectations. Before its release, trade analyst Girish Johar had said, "I am expecting Tuhmari Sulu to make an opening of Rs 2 crores on Friday. With a good word-of-mouth, the film may earn Rs 8 to Rs 10 crore by the end of the weekend. Aksar 2 will not stand as a competition for Vidya Balan's film. It has a completely different set of audience. Businesses aren't likely to clash between these two films.

Vidya Balan can heave a sigh of relief. Unlike her last few films that couldn't really find much of an audience in theatres, Tumhari Sulu is holding on fairly well.

Box Office: Tumhari Sulu set to go past 20 crore after first week; collects Rs. 1.85 cr on Day 5

Tumhari Sulu has done well on Tuesday as there was no drop whatsoever when compared to Monday. The film actually managed an additional Rs. 1 cr as Rs. 1.85 crore more came in.

The film currently stands at Rs. 16.56 crore and is now poised to go past the Rs. 20 crore mark after the first week. Though anything over Rs. 2 crore on a daily basis would have been much more ideal for the film, the current levels are also good and the makers would be hoping that there is no major dip today and tomorrow.

As long as her films recover...genuine film makers who want to tell a story and tell it well will keep making films with her. Same for other movies who have good content but don't have mainstream audience masala loving movie goers. The art of storytelling through films will continue. Thank heavens.

I think this was a wonderful movie.

I take back my previous words of how Vidya balan seems to be doing aunty roles.

This was a brilliant film and I felt it really resonated with the millions of homemakers in our country today and the world who are really creative and want to do something else in life.

Surprising and welcoming factor was the supportive husband
