Salman fans are all in for Dabbang 3. The problem is with the directors and the way makers handle the movie.

Race 3 already looks like a goner.

Dabbang, on the other hand, is one of Salman's best movies and a cult classic. It's not like other masala movies Salman's been part of. But they should opt for a better director - one who can justice to the character and style of Chulbul Pandey and Dabbang respectively.

Salman's best movies this decade have been ones that have had a good starcast or a good director: Dabbang, ETT, BB, and Sultan.

So, it's not about what's safe and what's risky. It's who he's working with. It's Remo and it's Prabhu Deva now. Both are risky. Remember, Dabbang 2 didn't outdo Dabbang's collections even if it's collections edged past it. Dabbang was declared an ATBB. Dabbang 2 didn't even touch ETT's figure.

Tubelight wasn't a risk for Salman at all. If it were as good as BB, it'd have smashed Dangal's record. It just was a shitty movie all round.

^I don't think that beating another actor is the point either. An actor should pick a role and script that fine tunes their skills and enhances them. Salman has a versatile pallete under his belt, and the experience to deliver his characters to the audience.
Remo and Prabhu Deva, I believe are able to successfully direct movies that focus on dance. Dabang 3 and Race 3 seem to be heading towards a downward spiral.
It seems as if they are releasing movies just for the sake of expanding the franchise.
I think Salman should really consider what movies will give him learning experiences and not portray him as a nonsensical actor.

Yes, he will direct Dabangg 3. Before does that, he will do a film with Sooraj Pancholi which was conformed months back.
