How did Sushant Singh Rajput make it in Bollywood?

Sushant I m not his fan but I will take him over these nepotism kids. At least some male young actor is outsider n doing good. In females already that aliya is irritating. Sushant will succeed

I really have no clue about his TV career but he made his debut in Kai Po Che. It was an ensemble cast and not a big role, but he did with long term prospects in mind. I've also heard him speak about films and screen play. He is more Ranbir like in having an interest in movies and not just a career in BW. His script choices except Raabta have been remarkably good despite the fact that he will not get the cream of scripts. He is not afraid to take a smaller role in a superstar driven movie like PK knowing Aamir will be the star. In short, he wants to be an actor, not a star and has good script sense.

Contrast that with Sobti. He was a legit big star on TV, but greed caused him to jump to BW at the first offer without looking at script or costar. He probably jumped because it was lead too. MAMR was a disaster and the consequent choice of scripts in BW has not been great either. That is the reason he was back on TV. But even there because his script sense sucked it was cancelled.

It always comes down to acting and script sense and if you have those two chances are you will make it and IMO that is why Sushant did.

This guy has what the others don't or atleast not upto his level... the DRIVE and HUNGER in pursuing acting. I've seen him in interviews - he sincerely wants to widen his horizons and is passionate about acting. He has said this many times, that if he doesn't get movie offers, he'd do theatre because he loves acting/performing so much.

And he'd told in interviews that he's so active that he sleeps very little, this guy pushes the limits and he wants to do so too. He has a zest for life, and you rarely see that in people these days..

IDK about those blinds pointing towards him though, nor do I care, but I've seen his interviews and this is what I could gather about him.
