People usually make their dealings public in such cases because they are unsure how they could be affected backstage owing to their complaints.. Never easier to approach your boss or a higher up and tell them they were in the wrong. Especially in entertainment industry which runs on reccos.
She made it public because she too is a public figure and people do look at these representatives to speak up, hell, I know I felt disappointed at Paltrow , Jolie when they took decades to share their experiences. As speaking then could have helped many more.
Ofcourse the price of it is ,somewhere she is exposing her work, her character, her dad and her choices to public who will scrutinize her every step but this is an essential public topic which can encourage and help make these public superstars more considerate and accountable.
