Salman's acquittal got to do something with political dynamics too I suppose.

I don't remember correctly but I believe I have read on this forum that how he is chummy with modi and other influential politicians.

Yep. He and Salim Khan have been bootlicking the BJP and Modi too. Salim Khan especially plays the part well. Salman went to fly kites with Modi. All this helps legitimize them.

As soon as they came to power, Salman got out of his court cases very quickly.

Sarfarosh, lagaan , rang de basanti, dangal, mangal pandey etc., it's aamir who has been doing deshbhakti movies since a long time and infact his career got built due to these movies, odcourse it was to please the audience, they love such movies!
