It released in USA too 😊

Sold about 400 tickets and did 4200 US$ total business . So much for his fan girls thronging theatres in the US and giving it houseful shows

His first film did about 30 lac business , this I doubt will touch that too.

Bollywood Box Office: October 6-8, 2017

https://accessbollywood.net/2017/10/09/bollywood-box-office-october-6-8-2017/amp/

Two new Hindi films had disastrous opening weekends in North America from October 6-8, 2017. The higher-profile release Saif Ali Khan's Chef took in $57,179 from 64 theaters ($893 average; adjusted average of $1,059 from 54 theaters*), according to Bollywood Hungama. Even with a modest theater count, one would expect better from a remake of an American film with a big star opening on Columbus Day weekend.

The weekend's other new release Tu Hai Mera Sunday tanked, predictably. The movie had a mostly unrecognizable cast, and there was no advanced publicity for its international release. It was no surprise, then, that Tu Hai Mera Sunday made just $4,253 from 20 theaters ($213 average) over the weekend, according to Sumit Chadha.

The recent lousy debuts of movies like Tu Hai Mera Sunday and Haseena Parkar have me scratching my head as to why many low-budget Hindi movies still opt for theatrical releases in the United States and Canada, especially with so much competition among streaming services for new Bollywood content. To date, 48 Hindi movies including multilingual movies like Baahubali 2 and The Ghazi Attack and special engagement releases like the movies of Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh have opened in North American theaters this year. If the eight Hindi movies that I suspect will open here before the end of the year actually do so, that would make 56 Bollywood movies released in North America in 2017 four more titles than the previous record release year of 2014. What can be gained when a movie earns less than $10,000 in its opening weekend here, as is the case for six titles already this year? Eleven films haven't even made $50,000 over the courses of their theatrical runs. It's perplexing.

Not sure about super star but it's a critically acclaimed movie. A simple google search would give you the answer.

I read the movie had a limited number of screens.
The movie is highly admired by critics. I read even Irrfaan Khan praised it.

Well people say that they want to see good movies...but when the content is so fine and it has a talented cast ( well they are definitely not Khans or kapoors or superstars) they blackout and go for the masala stuff!!!

Wish it would have done better...

How can people celebrate someone's failure? Honestly I don't care about Barun Sobit, never watched his serial. But the writer, director, actors and other crew members must have really worked hard on the movie. The movie is not even bad, it has got good reviews. Even after delivering good piece of work, these people had to face failure, imagine how heartbroken they must have been.

because his fans have done same with other actors they even did trend on twitter when Sanaya lost Jhalak trophy, They used to mock Sushant just coz producers approached him for movies and not that overrated Barun.

'lamo'. LMAO 😆 Title ko edit karle, behen.

And why karma? I don't get it. 'Cause he left his hugely popular show years ago and wanted to venture into films? Or is it something else?

It's baffling to me how so many people on IF act like he cheated on them and left with a younger, hotter woman or something. That's literally what some of the girls here act like. It's been five years too.

And I'm asking this in the most polite tone believe me, but, who the fxck are you to dictate what karma another does or doesn't deserve?

Imagine wasting time and energy on celebrating someone's failure on an online forum. Sad. 😆

Lol, Shilpa Anand's fans are saying karma to other actors career when their favorite actress had been sitting home jobless since ages, not a fan of Barun but I am sure that he won't ever be jobless like Shilpa had been for many years and didn't she said that DMG is a close chapter for her many years ago? Later on, she came back to it as another character and right now she have no chapter at all.
