Okay, so a lot of discussion has been going on the topic that why the poster of Padmavati has used the word Goddess.
So, people have been saying that she wasn't a goddess as she was a mortal etc.
So i hope this clears the confusion 😳

I don't know how it works when related to Indian history. All I know is that in Greek mytho a mortal could become a god after receiving nectar or ambrosia, or by the will of Zeus. They were deified mortals.
So regarding Padmavati...hm, first we will have to believe she was real to have this discussion. Secondly, it is just a movie so idrc if they call her goddess or not, cus that won't make her real or her goddess-like status true. I call my good looking friends goddesses, toh kya maine history taint kar di?
Fine, some people go by the semantics and get offended. There are a lot of people who call dhongi babas godmen. That should offend me too, but I can't be bothered.

In Hindu Mytho there are Gods, Goddesses and Demi Gods and the human incarnation of Gods and Goddesses.

People are confusing the word goddess in the poster with the first meaning i.e deity but, the poster intends to portray Padmini as the one who was the most beautiful woman there ever was, hence the word Goddess has been used.
There was a long discussion on the other thread saying how the word Goddess in the poster refers to Goddess sati (wife of Mahadev shiva). Lol talk aboit assumptions. And, then the discussion went astray with topics like Slb is mocking the Juahar pratha and confusing it with Sati Pratha, so forth and so on. 😆

Maybe SLB should have been more creative and called her "the face that caused a thousand swords to clash" (derivative of Homer's 'face that launched a thousand ships')

I have a genuine question. What is the difference between Sati Pratha and Jauhar at its core?

Sati pratha was an act where women used to kill themselves on the event of their husban's death, usually by sitting on their funeral pyre.
While Jauhar was self immolation when the kingdom lost to the enemy or to protect one's honor.
