Comparison between Kat and Kajol is not possible since these actresses weren't contemporaries. Box office dynamics changed alot after the multiplex boom in 2006. Getting a Hit verdict for a movie became easy after that. Kat was multiplex era star so her filmography benefited because of it.

The same reason we can't compare Kat's filmography with the Khans since their career spanned of three decades with their filmography covered with both single screen and multiplex era Hits.

What I did was compare Kajol's filmography with Ajay's in 90s without bringing SRK movies, so it was a benefit for Ajay.
Kajol didn't do many movies during multiplex era, while Ajay was a Star during that period too. So even in the overall comparison Ajay got the benefit.
But Kajol still beated him in both the scenarios so it's clear that Kajol was the bigger star going by her Filmography.

Whenever Kajol tried to do a film with top billing, like Hote Hote Pyaar hogaya, Dushman or Kuch Khatti Kuch Meethi the result was disastrous. As I've said in my previous post, the popularity she enjoyed was thanks to her Jodi with the King of Romance, not her as an individual. She's no Madhuri or Sridevi to be compared to popular actors like AD.

Because the audience is dominated by males and they want to see actresses only doing flowerpot roles. The female audience has shifted to TV serials, where you see the other way round. But during 90s Bollywood audience comprised of both males and females and actresses too were crowdpullers.
Kajol may not be as big as Madhuri or Sridevi, but she was a Superstar.

To me, they are both stars and exceptional actors. Powerhouse performers...both of them.

I've already proved how absurd your argument is by showing that Katrina has a better success rate than any actor. I never compared Katrina to Kajol, I compared Katrina to the male superstars of her era.

As for female superstars, Madhuri was the last of them. So there were none in the mid to late 90s as well. Kajol was certainly not one as we can see by her disastrous performance without a top hero.

An actor's success rate is foolish to compare with an actress success rate in "today's" times. In 90s, actresses weren't piggybacking on actors. SRK, Salman, Aamir weren't big stars in 90s as they are today. So Kajol piggybacking on big stars doesn't makes any sense. Because even Superstars were giving Flops in that decade. That era was different.
And I've already explained why we don't have a female superstar at present. Don't you have anything to say about it??

I also wrote a long essay on multiplex and single screen era, that why we can't compare Kat's.filmography with the Khans. Don't you have anything to say about it except "ridiculous parameters"??
