#BabumoshaiBandookbaaz Total: 7.53 cr. India biz. (Cost 5Cr.)

Most of the content driven, light heardted and masala entertainments did well. While we know of 3 big budget movie, which was not lapped up by audience.

I think people have started developing an interest in movies about lower body😆 You know with movies like Vicky Donor, Piku, Toilet and Shubh Mangal😉😆. Personally speaking, BW has lost its touch.. Very boring.. The need for realism in movies has destroyed the basic essence of what movies had to offer for me

Baadshaho has hardly any realistic moment in it. Still it is doing well. I think they targeted the right audience & may be its success is credit to marketing strategy.
BKB is an out an out romantic movie, there is no message, no theme. Story-line is simple and based in an Indian town. I loved it, it has recovered double its production budget.
So, I would ask you if there is any element that you specially look for? (beside SRK😛)

Audience has rejected crap this year. Each and every good movie did well. With one or 2 big budget movies flopping in next 1 or 2 years will force movie makers to concentrate on content and make movie with small budget. Good times ahead for movie lovers.

Toilet Ek Prem Katha added around 1 crore nett in its fourth weekend taking its collections to a little over 130 crore nett. The huge flow of releases has meant that the film has seen dropping collections especially after week two.

Week One - 94,21,00,000

Week Two - 27,98,00,000

Week Three - 6,95,00,000

Weekend Four - 1,00,00,000 apprx

TOTAL - 1,30,14,00,000 apprx

Highest grosser of the year with much lesser screens.

Movies these days lack soul.. they lack the ability to nake someone engrossed.. even tne flop ilms of yestertears had that.. Take Raju Chacha flr instance.. Lame movie but you couldnt help but shed a tear when the father died.. that emotional feel is what i miss.. Badshaho and BKB i havent seen so cannot comment.. Toilet i saw a bit and gave up 15 min into the movie.. Shubh was another movie which annoyed me ccuz honestly i donf want to see a movie about erectile dysfunction.. u see enough live cases as it is

Really? I have never heard some one confess IRL about this. I did not like Toilet either🥱 Stretched the issue, they did! I have watched Raju Chacha when I was a kid, so cant comment, dont remember anything! But I get your point.
