PeeCee Opposite Aamir Khan

So here's some breaking news!!! Last week, we mentioned in this very column that Priyanka Chopra had decided to opt out of one of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next productions. Now we've figured out why PeeCee probably took that bold step.

If sources close to Chopra are to be believed, the actress has signed a project that she hopes will be her comeback movie. She's already busy in Hollywood and after she completes her commitments there, this particular project will go on the floors.

We're talking about Aamir Khan's next film, where he's going to play astronaut Rakesh Mehra to be produced by Khan himself along with Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur. This film is being written by Anjum Rajabali and will be directed by Mahesh Mathai. Apparently, the film was initially titled Saare Jahan Se Achcha but is now tentatively titled Salute.

Rakesh Mehra was the first Indian in space and he spent seven days, 21 hours and 40 minutes out there. Sharma was also conferred the honour of the Hero of the Soviet Union and the Ashoka Chakra after his return.

Well, sources close to the production house tell us that Chopra has been roped in to play Aamir Khan's wife in the movie.
