Karna called draupadi a vaishya and supported the vastraharan, he is no way a hero. And besides some versions say that he did not even participate in draupadi swayamvar and wasn't insulted by draupadi. Even if karna was insulted, he had no right to dishonor a woman like that and watch her being disrobed. He was a participant in duryodhana's crimes and claimed himself to be his friend, when friends actually stop u from doing wrong.

Pallavi: in Mahabharata neither the Pandavas nor Karna was totally righteous. They all were grayand neither Draupadi nor Pandavas were right.

During swayamvar Draupadi insults Karna and says she will never marry a soot. Karna was deeply hurt and it was tit for tat done by him. (i read NP's link a bit and it shows that the disrobing didn't take place, only her being dragged by hair is true)

As i said none of these characters were righteous but all of them had gray shades.

If Karna is wrong for watching Draupadi being insulted/disrobed, then how come Pitamah is left off the hook? He too was present there and unlike the rest he was the wisest and his silence caused more trouble than anyone else's (the same was pointed out by Draupadi as well).

Every character in the epic has a gray shade and is responsible for the war and the events that followed.

^Karna was taught by Lord ParshuRam who was also an avatar of Lord Vishnu, so how could Arjuna be better than Karan in war craft. Arjun was a snob.

So many gods were helping him along with his 'real' father Indra Dev who tricked Karna into giving uo his armour and 'kundals' which were his shield avainst every weapon. :(

Anjali sorry but this is not tit for tat, not even the most heinous of insult can justify his being a part of that crime. And even if she wasn't being disrobed [which might be written by some karna supporters], still her being dragged in the court, when she was wrapped in a just a saree with period stains, with her hair and then being called a wh*re and karna even went ahead and said that she should chose a new husband now as her husbands are daas now. Now tell me is it a fair way ? And besides which good man would go to such an extent just for the sake of revenge?? Agreed about the characters being grey. It's just that some were more grey than the others!

There are hundreds of versions available now. If according to some, disrobing didn't take place, then according to some draupadi did not insult duryodhana or Karna, so which one should we believe? 😆

Vikarna and vidura only people who protested against draupadi's cheerharan.
