This is what I got from the movie

A chola bathura from Punjab and idli dosa from south india meet in US where husband is enrolled in culinary course run bu chef bobby flay. Both romance and get married. The girl comes back to live in South India and delivers a son. Husband stays in US to complete his course. He is working on a research project which is creating a new variety of chola bathora for americans...his chola bathora will have double bacon in it. Bobby flay is funding the research

Wife gives him some times but he never comes back..he likes US and does not want to leave

With time his son grows up and looks like wife.

One day son requests him to come to India. Kabira father initially refuses but comes back

Family reunite and lots of fun follows..songs..dance...tour to roots in Punjab as well along with beauty of south india

Then one day father says I need to go and finish my project. Son says this seems to be a never ending project...u r mean,..u dont care..get the heck out bathuray

Father is in double mind..kindda like kaise teri khudgarzi..na dhoop chune na chaanv...kabira man jaa

He decides to stay and build a food stall... he sales a south india bahtura with lot of khatai in it.

But wait ...story ..what next?'

One day a drunk driver crashes into his stall which flies in air and lands one mile ahead..luckily no one was inside the stall...the chef has a fight with driver who is a superstar doing shooting for reality show...

Chef gets disheartened and wants to leave..he tried his best...he was sincere..he wanted to stay in his country..but his stall was no more

seems like movie starts with baghar of "2 states" then add "yeh jawani hai deewani" to it. also mix cheeni but kum...finally add "all is well" to it and let the movie boil for 10 minutes. take out the mixture in bowl and dispose it in basin...

I loved the original film chef
this seems different with the dialogues liked some of them
but still wish bollywood had completely new scripts

Trailer looks great... some scene are straigth from Chef movie but overall this seem to me Saif best performance by date. Watching it. Love the father son. This will be my 1st movie of Saif in theater. it will also bring back memory from cochin trip from last year.

I have seen the original didn't think much of it. Surprisingly this actually looks better than the original I like the Indianess to it. The Indian food, flavour and culture makes it more interesting plus I think Saif is a better cast for the lead than the original one as he is more good looking and charming and absolutely natural in such urban roles it's tailor made for him and he seems to have done justice to it. All and all I think it can work really well it has Indian culture, father son bond and adventure plus the makers have made airlift before this so safe to say they aren't gonna disappoint, also considering the current trend such kinda movies are being more accepted by the audience it could be a hit and I'll like to give it a try.
