True. Kumar Sanu never used much variation in his songs, and sang most of them in the same sleepy, crooning style.
Arijit is quite repetitive. Atif's songs in Bollywood are very repetitive, though I like most of them.

Agree with Arijit and Atif..though have u heard any of Kumar Sanu's songs for Govinda's movies?! Even tho he was given mostly the same type of songs and stereotyped, Anand Milind gave him a diff genre thru their songs many times

^^Yeah, I have listened to his songs from Govinda films. I feel that he struggles out of his comfort zone, especially when singing higher octaves. His voice also sounds very nasal when singing high notes, so on the whole I have never found him versatile. I like his songs from Hero no 1, but again, I feel he couldn't bring energy into those tracks like nearly all his contemporaries would have been able to.
Armaan Malik is another singer who needs to experiment more. I really like his voice but feel that he keeps singing similar songs in most films nowadays.

Neha Kakkar has a beautiful voice, but she mainly gets to sing item/dance numbers these days. Hope she gets to experiment a bit more in Bollywood.

Completely agree with your @bold. He has a sexy voice - somewhere a cross between Arijit and KK - but i feel he falls short in range. I heard his 'barfani' song where he went out of his comfort zone - he is clearly seen to be struggling in it. But then i heard his tribute to NFAK. And he is awesome there. So feel like he can actually do a lot more than what he is allowed to do.

Currently - RFAK - very similar style of songs. Can he do a dance number once? Would love to hear him in that once!!😆

A year back i would not have agreed that Arijit is repetitive. I mean look at his song collection. He has sung everything from dilliwali girlfriend to aayat to Laal ishq to Raabta to Nashe si chadh gayi oye to tum hi ho. Apart from Sonu I dont know anyone who is that versatile at least in current generation. So NO. Arijit is not repetitive. But these days he sings all his songs in a sleepy way and I really don't know why. I find a difference in his vocals too. Where first he used to reach the high notes very smoothly, now he propels himself and that is kind of irritating for me. But overall, in the current crop of singers if i've loved anyone its Arijit.

Poor Papon - always gets similar songs.

And jubin nautiyal always sings the same way. He outs so much husk in his voice that he sounds old.

Airijit, Neha, RFAK are not versatile singer like Sonu, they are good in certain style and their comfort zone.
