People who think we have lost compassion because we got hit as a child is funny. 😆 can you seriously judge someone's whole persona based on their reactions on a website?

This is torture. This is no way to treat a child. I don't support the way parents spoil their kids these days but this is way too much. This can never help the kid, it'll make her a rattu tota who would be petrified of making any mistakes whatsoever.

Toshi can defend all that he wants but what exactly is the purpose of making a video like this? To let her know that if she doesn't study then is she should expect sth similar to this? Brutal. Poor Kid.

Thank you MB..🤗

I know right... All that maar and I still suck at maths and hate it like anything... But they still justify it..

I was so glad I took commerce in 11th because my father couldn't teach me that... Jaan bachi toh laakho paaye...😆

A generation that believed in...spare the rod, spoil the child. But ek limit hoti hai yaar. 😕

The occasional laafa I have received, has been from my Mom. That too for talking back, bad manners etc. 😛

After reading all the comments I feel sorry for all those who have been abused to an extent that they bled. My parents never hit me because of studies. I was never a good student and used to get enough marks to get promoted.
In 6h standard I copied my teachers signature on my text book as I forgot to get it signed and got caught. 😆 Parents were called and my father or my mother didn't even shout at me but just gave exasperated looks. 😆
my list of pranks range from betting to jump down from a two floor building to beating the crap out of boys. And I was a very blunt one in the family and used to constantly talk back to her and thats why she used to shout at me or hit me. Thankfully I never got abused because of studies.
I even flunked 12th standard but neither of my parents said anything. Rather my father encouraged me to drop science if it is too hard.

There is a difference between disciplining your kids and terrorising your kids till they end up crying and stammering in fear. Heck, the kid was counting the numbers right but the mother kept needling her so hard that she got scared and started second-guessing the numbers. This is only going to make the kid lose confidence and develop a resentment of studies if every small error is rewarded by a slap like this. Hopefully the mother realises her mistake after seeing all these reactions and her child doesn't face any more emotional abuse.

This. 😕

Maar kise nahi khaayi hai. Although I have got beaten just once that too with a rod for keeping my mother awake at 4 due to my exams so that she can prepare coffee/tea time to time but I myself fell asleep at 4:15 😕😆. But scoldings hell yeah, everyday 100 times. But never terrorizing me . The kid was correctly counting the numbers, may be not upto the fluency or speed her mother wanted in. But that's how it is. Not every child is same and can learn at the same pace. If one doesn't know parenting or doesnt have the required patience (which in this vid the lady of course doesn't), one shouldn't go for family planning IMO. 🥱 It very much looked like the mother had some urgent appointment and kept pushing the kid for no apparent reason.

P.S. - I sympathize with everyone who had been beaten up in their childhood and yes it doesn't do as bad as celebrities are making out to be. 😳 But I wonder how many of us got beaten even after we settled down and started doing the stuffs our parents wanted us to like the lady in the video. It wasn't like kid was running away and was acting 'stubborn'.

P.P.S. - This Toshi guy whoever it is, has got it wrong that 'we know our child better'. 🥱 People abuse and practices domestic violence under the same excuse. Happy that people showed them the reality. 🥱

I've never been a shaitan baccha...I was always the most quiet student in the class..

Apart from padhai I got maar because.."uncle/aunty ko namaste nahi ki"..."dukaan pe mooh chadhati hai"(which btw had a reason my parents conveniently ignored)...

Ek baar belt se maar padi thi mummy se kyunki main ek aunty ke yahaan kanya jimaane mein nahi gayi..

Once my mum slapped me in the corridor at school because my friend had just told me she scored full marks at maths but I was just pass...

Sorry for the rant...I'm just really pissed..

EDIT -

Yes that was our way of upbringing. And all my cousins/relatives had it the same way for all small or big things. But I can see we turned out to be fine 🤗, although some incidents make a deeper impact on us specially when we get beaten up without knowing the reason of it or if our side of arguments/justifications were left unheard.

I would still suggest to let it be and don't feel bad it was our time of growing up and more or less everyone had it the same way.

@ Anjali - Fun kid you were eh 😳 I can SO relate to some of the stuffs. I grew up with 3 elder cousin brothers as we had joint family and was a tomboy. My maternal side relatives would pray to God and wonder that I am growing up with all my body-parts intact 😛. Starting from not using the staircase directly and rather coming down through the railings slipping to hopping on a running rickshaw's back where the rickshaw was already carrying 2 passengers, I did it all. 😃 And once a while when my mom would complain to my dad about me getting the clothes extremely dirty after playing with my neighbourhood kids at the afternoon, my Dad would be like 'Come on, this is her age, let her enjoy, what dirty clothes, at her age we used to roll up and down the entire stadium', and next day I would roll across the entire stadium just to prove myself as daddy's girl 😛😆.

Although for studies never had problem since I was actually sincere kid 😲 But ours was the first batch in school where all 7-8 toppers, instead of being jealous and acting bitchy to each others, were actually BFFs forever, we still are 😆. So we always had been teachers' favourite and would be spared for occasional punishment for stealing fruits from nearby houses close to the fence of our school or playing pranks on teachers or coming to the Biology lab without a frog for intersection in a planned way and that time we really though aah nobody would catch our plan oh my 😆. My only condition was if there was ever a guardian call, I would have to leave school and sit at home (ultimatum from daddy 😆). So everytime I had to beg to my teacher to let the matters go and that I would do whatever to settle it that day without going to my parents 🤣

Man, I feel sad for today's kids who get scoldings/beatings for every small small things. In my times it was like we almost grew up unmonitored 😆

If they sit back and delve into it, they'd realize how these things don't even matter in the long run. You said that they still justify it and I'm sure that pisses you off more. I just dunno what more to say. :( Let it go. Easier said than done, I know. But please do! 🤗

From real life observation as well , generally dads seem reluctant on raising hands than mums if the child is girl..However if the child is boy , then oh boy !

Ofc exceptional instance can always be there .
