If kal ho na ho song was made today, would it be a hit or a flop?? - Page 3

Honestly, they wouldn't be able to make it today. Bollywood music is not top notch anymore with pointless remixes and raps.

Pata nahi yaar, I used to love this song but after being on the brink of life and literally living through kal ho na ho, i kind of avoid this song.

Figured as much. It's strange right how some songs bring out certain aspects of your life. For me it's pal pal dil ke paas.. I always get bittersweet emotional when I listen to that song coz it's connected to a certain part of my life! 😳

That song is my all time favourite and 100% it would've been a big hit today too. It's an evergreen classic and I think most would agree one of THE best songs Bollywood has churned out ever!

😭 we've still got good singers and good music directors. Just the vein of music has changed for unknown reasons. People are so after churning out numbers with maximum youtube hits, they are forgetting that those very same songs will never become immortal.

For the same reasons I feel like kal ho na ho may not have created the same impact of it was made today. There are no high notes, no punjabi lyrics, no auto tune effect on the vocals - how the hell could it work??

I think the music video itself is genius too.

Rohit & Naina's life, Aman looking at them in white (angel) and the second verse has the 'what if aman wasn't dying' imagination. It's absolute genius IMO!

You can't compare this song to anything else. It stands by itself.

Forgot to mention the video. This wouldn't be the song it is if Aman Naina and Rohit story wasn't so poignant.

Just because today's youth likes easily forgetful melodies and voices. Doesn't mean everyone have same taste. Kal ho na ho is transcendental. Good melody, meaningful lyrics, deep and emotional, melodious voice. And yes, songs like Gerua and all are good, but superficial. But kal ho na ho is better, deep, and certainly not sad. Its about hope and how to live in present, live each moment to the fullest. Not how to be sad...live happily each moment, so much that when change occurs it leaves good memories behind and not regret.
