When he was at the peak of his career, he rejected good films and chose bad films of his friends. He is kinda paying for that.

Now if we look at the last few years, then all the good films with good content go to Aamir.

All films that guarantee BO success go to Salman.

Beech mein srk reh gaya who is not able to decide which type of movies should he do- Good content movies or BO success guarantee movies.

First he tried masala movies that he thought will give him BO success. Except CE, all his other movies failed.

Then he tried movies that he thought are different with good content like Fan and Raees. The only good thing in these movies was SRK himself but the movies turned out to be crap.

Then he thought that JHMS may finally give him BO success but he didn't realize that viewers taste has changed over the years and that he doesn't suit these kind of roles anymore.

His next is ALR movie which I feel will definitely give him critical acclaim but may not work in the BO. If it does then I will be on cloud nine.

Anyways, as his fan I am really not sad about his current state because he has been in this industry successfully for more than 25 years and that itself is not a small achievement. No matter how many movies of his fail, he will always be one of the legendary superstars of India.

Amir and SRK had kinda shared fanbase jo budhaape pe Amir leke chala gaya with his good movies 😆 , and SRK had chosen romance as his genre to leave a mark in BW, now that he is 50, his audience are now like in 30-35+. Like SRK said in the TED talks, he sells dreams. His audience who were mostly in their teens and 20's earlier, dreamt to be the Raj or Rahul for whom girls would ditch their fiances and marry them. But now they are in their mid-age. 30-35+ audience ko love story ka dream sell karna is bewakoofi. They are either married or settled with kids and if nothing at least they have steady girlfriend and none of them is in self-discovering mode anymore neither do they want their fiance to leave them and find someone else. 😆 So his dreams remain unsold.

SRK still has the advantage to move to good stories which strives on family oriented drama. May be he would gain back his audience.

Ibthink the problem is nobody goes to SRK with a good script anymore. For example the well known directors like basu johar kashyap imtiaz hirani have all flopped except Hirani and Hirani already has Aamir so he doesn't need to convince SrK.

Moreover srk is confused, even sallu has understood the dynamics of his age and audience and that's why he tries to do both masala and character oriented films now, at least he's trying whereas srk is stuck in trying to blackmail audience with nostalgia such as doing fan to recreate darr, doing Dilwale to recreate ddlj.. And sadly thats why he deserved to flop.

I really have no sympathies because most of the times his fans gloat about his global stardom abd intelligence which seems to be non existence in his films. If that wasn't enough they try to project a stupid film like fan as something niche and cult and boast about the openings of his films which actually doesn't make any difference now.

Comparing srk with aamir now is outright unfair and insulting to him. Heck in a single decade he played Sanjay, Ranchod, Rajveer, Pk and Mahabir, just look at the dimensions. Each of the characters were memorable onscreen.

I personally loved Talaash.. I loved Aamir in the movie.

He should move on to content films only
People are not accepting him in masala films any more
ALR film can be good in content but may not have the BO
He should read the full script from now and choose
