Why people expect SRK to work with Karan Johar, lol?? It'll be another bad decision. 😆
Karan Johar has only made romcoms all his life. Also his old larger-than-life NRI movies are outdated and will not work with today's audience.
Only MNIK was a different movie of Kjo and it was a fluke.

Deepika herself is in need of a Hit right now and repeating the same pairing again and again will become monotonous for the audience.

It's only in JHMS in which he wasn't doing an "age-appropriate" role so that's not the main issue.
Also he's already working with the best directors.

The main problem with SRK is that he doesn't follows the trend and neither he has a good script sense. He was doing pure romantic movie like JTHJ when there was the trend of masala movies. At present SRK is doing masala and rom-com movies when he should do content-driven cinema. Aamir has script sense. Salman and Akshay know what is the current trend.

So SRK needs to follow one path among the two. Either he should pay more attention on scripts and also work behind the film-making process. If he can't do that then he should just start selling his movies on Deshbhakti.

Taking a break or moving to supporting roles will be the last thing SRK will do at this point, because that will finish his stardom permanently as age is not on his side. He needs to make a comeback as soon as possible if he doesn't wants to lose his superstar status. Superstardom is addictive and no superstar will want to lose his stardom at any age which they have achieved after so much of hard work.
SRK will not move to character roles unless he loses his stardom completely.

He should do what my dad thinks every film guy who didn't make it big does- pan ki dukan dedo 😆

working with kjo or deepika and playing his own age seem like good options!

Seriously, I was having an SRK binge on Netflix and could not complete any of his new releases whether it was raees, dilwale, happy new year etc. I think chennai express was the last movie of his I actually finished. He needs to stop trusting directors just because they have big names and stop thinking audience will buy anything with his name on it. He probably gets the best scripts in bw and he keeps going for trash.

SRK always trusted his directors even in his prime...Chopras and Johars. he would sign their movies blindly without even reading scripts.

Unfortunately for SRK lately none of his director has been able to deliver for him. SRK needs to stop rehashing his old movies.

Thats why i think people underestimate Aamir Khan ability to read scripts. They think its the most easy job to read script. you need to have talent to understand script,story and screenplay.

Regarding Salman well he has the pulse of masses. he missed in TL but he will comeback in TZH.

In that case he has to break that cycle now

SRK ruled BW for 25 years and it's not like, no one face downfall. Every superstar has a time for downfall. Right now just because his films are not working, it's doesn't mean he is a flop actor. He will remain the legend for BW Cinema.

Talking about SRK's stardom; it's pretty much here, otherwise his films still won't have big opening. 😃
