See again, I have no issues with movie being tax free

As per my understanding, producers sell movies at a certain price to distributors and exhibitors... so if they movie does well - distributors make money!

In this case since the movie was sold at higher price the producers will make more money and distributors less... my question is only about the greed of producers because akki himself said he is not worried about BO, but words do not meet action!!!

Edit: so while the producers are expecting government to make it tax free they are themselves looking for more money now... the fact that the government collects also goes for welfare schemes and infra development

Doesn't aamir khan does movies relating to social message or patriotism? Every actor has to carve a niche for himself and besides when u are 50 something old, you must chose roles that fit you, starring in new age romance wouldn't do. And besides i don't think akki does same kind of movies. Padman is actually based on life of a person who did something good for the society. Isn't it a good thing to acknowledge that? And let people know his story and struggles. And the day he becomes repetitive, audience will take no time in rejecting him too.

First your concern about more people should watch the movie now your concern changed ...

Tax free means movie ticket is very less compare to other movies ... tax rate is 28% ... distributor making less money is good than loss money ... if producer sold movie on less price which is profit of distributor 😉 apna profit koi kyu dega kisi ko ...

Greed of producer ...if this kind of movie giving money to producer then he will be make more movies on social issue ... no body in BW is saint naahi Akshay but star like Akshay and aamir giving content based movie unlike other jo abhi tak 😳

**DT NOTE: Name calling an actor is not allowed as it leads to fan wars**

You mentioned looks of Akki so 😕
And did Priyaka Bharti ever thought she was doing some social movement when she was demanding for toilet? Why cant you see it as a individual subject. Even Aamir khan always take up socially relevant films except one disaster named D3 in recent time. Now dont tell me Aamir is close to Modi or BJP
There is no current sentiment in India. Its always the same. If your film is about a good subject and execution is good people will go to theatre otherwise why waste 200-500/- for a film. Audience is very intelligent now

Aamir is KHAN so he is doing different movies and a universal star... Akki ka kya hai ... Special 26, airlift and padman ( real life story ) Sab same roles hi toh Hain 😉

Versatile toh SRk hai 😉 😳

Just to reiterate.. my only issue with this film is that the producers are trying to use the tax exemption to fill their own coffers by reselling it at a higher price...

Never questioned the "noble intention" of the movie otherwise

It's hilarious how he is undermined so much, like his movies are working coz he is being favoured by the govt., by people 😕 His movies work coz he makes good movies, not patriotic movies. Audience nowadays accepts good cinema irrespective of who it is!
About the tweet, no idea about the reliability, but sach bhi h to kya?

Oh.. so now it's difficult for the distributors to make money while the producers are 50 cr richer 😲 Good example of 'strike while the iron is hot' from Akki!

Good decision and hope the movie does way too above that so that BW has something to save its face this year 👍🏼 The makers are right, the buzz is really positive and people are eagerly waiting to book the tickets for next weekend than of this weekend release 🤪 .

As long as all are in profit and the message gets through the audience, it should be fine. It aint a Charity but a marketplace. One needs good amount of money to reach bigger audience with better message. Akki is doing meaningful stuff since last 10 yrs and he is indeed succeeding. Can successfully say he has found his genre although he was always this talented 🥳 .

P.S. - Some delusional take on versatility just amuses me everytime 🤣
