Anushka doesn't have a stardom to begin with. She is nowhere as popular as Deepika, Katrina, PC or even Alia, Shraddha for that matter. She doesn't generate that craze. She is just there. And this is supposedly the best phase of her career.

Every other actress has a defined loyal fanbase. For example most of the Katrina fans are males. Mostly Sonam fans are females who follow her for fashion, Deepika, PC have a fan following among girls too, Aloo is extremely popular among teenagers and so on. Anushka doesn't have that.

Regarding people who say controversy leads to popularity, I disagree. She has had her share of reasons to be in the news (lip job, relationship with Virat).

Exactly my thoughts.

I was Anushka's fan when she debuted and I really loved her chemistry with SRK so much but then I started to lose interest on her when newcomers like Parineeti, Alia and other new actresses started to debut, then when she started to be in the news for her relationship with Virat, it made me dislike her because it seemed like she was using her relationship with Virat to keep herself in the news, also she doesn't seem to have that good sex appeal and seems boring although she is very gorgeous.

No surprises. Last year she was a part of 2 most successful films but didn't gather that kind of attention & craze that katrina had in 2009 or Deepika had in 2013. She lacks that number 1 heroine factor.

I'll pick her any day over so called "stars" Katrina, Alia, n the like
