Anushka doesn't have a stardom to begin with. She is nowhere as popular as Deepika, Katrina, PC or even Alia, Shraddha for that matter. She doesn't generate that craze. She is just there. And this is supposedly the best phase of her career.

Every other actress has a defined loyal fanbase. For example most of the Katrina fans are males. Mostly Sonam fans are females who follow her for fashion, Deepika, PC have a fan following among girls too, Aloo is extremely popular among teenagers and so on. Anushka doesn't have that.

Regarding people who say controversy leads to popularity, I disagree. She has had her share of reasons to be in the news (lip job, relationship with Virat).

she doesnt have that star power which deepz or katrina had in their prime and that makes sense too coz she is boring and doesnt have any appeal. i DONT like alia, but she looks and acts better and even has a better screen presence than anushka. 😛
