Looks like Rishi Kapoor's harsh comments about Jagga Jasoos director Anurag Basu has not gone down too well with his son. Ranbir Kapoor we hear is mighty pissed with his father's candid interview, where the senior actor literally BLASTED Basu and made some rather nasty remarks about the filmmaker. A source close to the actor revealed that Ranbir was not aware of his father's this interview until it got printed and became widely discussed on social media. Rishi Kapoor in this tell-all chat revealed some of the film's biggest secrets and in fact even went on to confirm an EXCLUSIVE BollywoodLife report about the film's delay in UAE. Rishi Kapoor said, "It did not release in Singapore because you have to deliver it five days in advance. It did not release in the Gulf on Thursday because it was only delivered to them on Thursday. This is unreasonable and irresponsible.

We now have from our sources that Ranbir is unhappy with his father's this impromptu interview. It seems that Rishi Kapoor's candid chat has got the media abuzz, but Ranbir did not want a situation like this. In fact, while Ranbir himself had made some not so good remarks about Anurag Basu in his interviews during Jagga Jasoos promotions, he had mentioned that he'd like to collaborate with the filmmaker again. However, Sr Kapoor is not someone to mince words and more so when his son's career and money is at stake.

Ranbir we hear is very upset with his dad, our source revealed, "Ranbir was not wanting another controversy and not when the film has failed to perform at the box office. His father's comments will only bring more focus on the film's failure. This episode might cause more damage to their already strained relationship. Now both Ranbir and his father have been vocal about their difference of opinions and perspectives, however looks like this time around RK Jr is irked with his father for interfering in his work space.

For those of you who are not aware, in an angry Rishi Kapoor in an interview blasted Anurag Basu and hurled accusations at the filmmaker. He said, "Neetu and I saw the film on Thursday, only a day ahead of the release. Till Wednesday, Anurag Basu was still mixing the film. Can you imagine that? Pritam probably delivered the music only a week before. What can you say? You (here, Basu) don't take an opinion from anybody. Today's filmmakers are doing this with everybody. They don't show their films before release to take opinions, and treat it as though they're making a nuclear bomb. I didn't hate or love the film. I only felt it needed to be abridged by 20 minutes. But who is going to give that opinion to them?
