Even if they have they do not have money to put in to it. Plus they know movie will surely tank so they will never waste their own money.

Its not only irresponsible but 6 more factors causing overall failure. Bad script, Bad concept, Overconfidence, 30 year old guy being portrayed as 19 so badly, Ranbir acted too much, Kat didnt blinked her eye throughout movie.

well it is irresponsible of anurag to work like that, continuing to reshoot, edit, postpone is a huge stress on the producers

but that being said rk was one of the producers, did he not hav any control over wat basu was doing? if rk had a problem he cud hav said something, but he must hav thought that if it worked during barfi then it will work for jj, which is irresponsible of rk aswell

i dont undertand how disney allowed them so much time and resources to make this film

both hold the responsibility here, both had creative control over the film as director and producer, and they just became too indulgent with the film

You can sing "Yehi Umaruhain Karle Galti se mistake" in the movie. Cute. But in RL it makes you sound like an ass if you don't take responsibility. You were the producer. You should have said all this then. Else nothing teaches better than RL. So learn. Either way, better in the long run.

As for Basu, budget is not a suggestion. Movies are not charity. Having a vision is great, but professionalism is even better.

For all of Ranbir's faults, I've never heard him criticize anyone before. Not even Anurag Kashyap after BV. So if he's pissed, I'll believe him. Just because someone is going through a rough time at the BO, doesn't mean they can't call a spade a spade, without being bashed.

you make much more sense than it is expected here 😆 hence your comment is ignored and ironically those members are posting images and liking such post who have been crying themselves, blaming others for their fav's (read rejected maal from India) outset, since october 2016 😆 hence it suits them too!

Ranbir did not criticize even Anurag Kashyap after BV because it was not HIS money riding whereas in JJ he was a producer and had his money.

Calling a spade a spade goes both ways, in this case when someone is a producer he needed to say all these things then. In interview after interview with Basu sitting right there, Ranbir said he did not do much "producing" though he got the credit for it. Yes, a director is the captain of the ship, unless he is a tyrant you cannot blame him alone for the sinking ship especially if one is a co-navigant. Take responsibility. If this had worked like Barfi did then all this would have been a moot point. Ranbir hasn't taken responsibility so far and so has Rishiji speaking for him.
