How are awards given for acting related to the cast of the movie? She won awards because of her good acting...and not because she was cast opposite SRK or Amir. She won a filmfare award for Gupt too. That movie had Booby Deol and even Manisha...but it was Kajol who won the award.

Yea they won't get back together but her past associations have been with him cos like she says she likes to work with friends. KJO is a mentor to Alia but was friend with Kajol. But she is also a star kid who got opportunities served on a a platter. Didn't have to try too hard cos hey SRK and KJo were there to figure things out for her.

@Red KJO and SRK did not figure anything for Kajol. She debuted at 17 or some ridiculous age. KJO in fact was encouraged by Kajol and SRK to direct. He was scared. Kajol said she will come back for it if SRK would do it and she gave up a Manirathnam film for it. The woman is a fool in many ways about her career and insistence to work with friends, this was one of it. No need to believe me, everything documented in one of the very first KWK.

The woman has no plan, lazy, will put working with friends over great directors or scripts like 3 Idiots. But one thing is her talent and that is the one thing why she can pop in and out. That and nepotism. But her talent is also why Dhanush came from down South to get her to work in VIP 2. It is a big brand for him and he could get any BW actress. So why Kajol with a thin resume ? Cause obviously he believes she is worth his time and money. YMMV
